yup the guy is right nokia dont sdvertise themselves as best music mobile company cant beat n91 still samsung i450 wasnt even close my 5130 beat the hell of my nokia 5800 in loudness in headphones and yup se walkmans cant match sony walkma/s and what bout cowon and sansa clip and if you hoomed to audio cd quality can listen to mp3 at all.

Cause they usually are way too expensive and always have noise cancellation as the bare minimum. For example, philip's 'ultimate ears professional 18' or UE PRO18. Which costs more than a thousand dollars i.e more than 50 thousand indian rupee. Or maybe my concept about IEM's is wrong. Correct me if i am.

And you believe that mega bass is all people groove at nowadays. Maybe. But do you really understand music. There are 100s of categories of it and giving priority to a certain kind like rock, or hiphop etc which produces your desired bass is just a choice. With that huge reply of yours, you tried to prove Mega Bass is the very essence of music although you completely overlooked the more important factors of good music quality. Due to the Mega Bass, sony ericsson phones have very high distortion levels. Dynamic range is too low to distinguish between mids and lows. Any music that happens to come out of the headphone just transforms into bass. That's not music, my friend. And the reason sony ericsson gives high bass is because they forcibly imposed high decibels of low frequency even in normal conditions. Applying Mega Bass makes that Abismal. Yes, i agree that it gives that rocking feel but at least sony ericsson should have kept their frequency response controlled in the first place. Have you ever heard a real WalkMAN of sony. For example, sony NWZ W202. Its one of the best music portable devices out there. It beats the shit out of ipods. Everything is so clear. Bass is pronounced exactly as its supposed to be. Voice is too pleasurable to hear. Sound stage is also very good. One can even hear the silent background music in between heavy bass. Now thats what is called Controlled music output. Nokia aims to become like Sony walkman not sony ericsson walkman. Now please don't start giving comments that they are both the same. At least have some pride left as you already destroyed half of it in that reply of yours.

You see a good music phone should be able to produce all the tones in the audible frequence range and shold have a flat output without the use of EQ. What SE has done is that they went for bass instead of pure and clean audio output. That is why you get that xtra bass and you feel happy about it.
It only suits bass heavy music. Try listening to classical, jazz or blues on a walkman. Those are the stuff that is preferred by audiophiles for judging the quality of a music player. Walkmans just can't keep up with Nokia music phones in that respect.
And I'm talking about audiophile quality here.
Your walkman totally sux ijn the treble and mids department. You always get the feeling that something is missing from the music when you listen to walkman. And i'm talking about audiophile quality here and not some disco beat or something like that.
And let me tell you don't be deceived by the walkman logo. SE walkmans are nothing like the real walkman. The real walkmans are miles better than what SE offers. It's just the brand name while xpress music are the real unsung champs when it comes to absolute music quality.
And please don't tell me that having more bass gives you audiophile quality audio. It just doesn't stick. For further clarification fell free to check out headfi.org forums and read what real experts and audiophiles have to say.
