my old w900 and k750 had a better camera than this,all those 2MP camera nowadays had 1600x1200,,but my old w900 and k750 had 1632x1224 resolution,, so think now,,whos better??
and yet better sound quality,,than those xpress music phones..
yeah ! walkman rules!

hmm music.. i love it.. it dpends on a headset..

hey,all you people out der,,dis is just fooling your eyes because it has a big screen,,touch screen?,then u r saying now that the sound was good?,,hey hey hey,, why dont you try the s.e. w800 or w810,,dis is the best quality sound in the world ! just use the ORIGINAL head pones 4 dis,,then activate the megabass,,then you will see the diffrence,i know they are old models,,but if you seek for sound quality,,try this..so sad all nokia music pones were juz all the same even in their normal symbian pones,,all those equalizer were all the same..booorrriinnngggg. .their juz using the word 'xpress music' or 'music edition'but all in all whether it is music or non music phone they are all the same . . in specs,,and all nokia pones sound like a can,,even my old n93i is louder than dis,,{but ders no quality on it},,y dont you try some s.e. walkman phones,,i know plenty of them may not have wi-fi,,large screens,,yes it is,,know y? because der are juz concentrating or giving much focus on music..sound quality,,not that surfing net or other stuffs,,its just 4 music,,4 d sound,,megabass rules !
also try the hazel or w995 it has a 'noise cancellation',,if dont know it juz watch it on youtube,,
lets face te truth all nokia pone had a croppy sound,,even if you select either of their equalizer,,its all the same,,sound like a can,,their bass boost is only just equivalent of treble of s.e. walkman phones....
trivia:bass is the essence of all sound,,

5230, 5233, 5235 is a total crap! bad camera, bad music has a pink tint on screen display, unlike the other touch screens available 5530 and up.

amalinda, 19 Aug 20101. can anyone let me know whats the normal EDGE speed supp... moreMaking calls (voice and video)with s ky pe which needs 3G or Wifi network and a video call camera, none of which are present in 5233, or 5230 even it has 3G but does not make any sense. I think this is the main reason why sk y pe do not support these phones, though you can install it by getting the setup file from somewhere but not from the sk y pe website....see these phones are not listed in the supported phones....

There is a heating problem in my set. It heats up simply when i am not using it also and no application running.. So i have to restart it to stop heating of battery. If i do not restart, battery will be drained soon. Is anybody having this problem....

I'll just give you a list of some of the one's i've tried and the approximate price.
creative EP-630 around 1000
sennheiser cx300ii around 2200-2500
philips she9700 around 1500
philips she9550 around 1200
sony MDR-ED12LP MRP 790
sony MDR-EX35SL MRP 990
sony MDR-EX85SL discontinued but around 2500
sony MDR-EX700SL Got this as a gift not usre about the price but I guess it's the costliest among my collection.
Of these my favourite is the philips she9800. I simply like it because it is very comfortable to wear due to it's hybrid form factor and feels good especially when i'm in bed. The audio is also very balanced at the same time very refining. The sound stage is superb and give you the feeling of being in a virtual concert hall. My least favourite is the EX-700 not because it sound bad or anything but just because of the fact that you don't get that quality you expect form a high end earphone especially when it comes form a brand like sony. Don't have the ep630 and cx300 with me now. ep630 got misplaced in public transit and the cx300 cable got snapped when it was accidently caught in between the door. Still have the remains though...

The only thinh is that features that require a stand alone GPS receiver won't work in this phone But you have network based positioning as well as bluetooth positioning in which this phone can connect to other GPS phones or navigation units that support bluetooth and share the data to obtain it's position. Network based positioning works kind of like GPS but the accuracy is low and you only get a generalised position based on the cell tower id.

Badly need your help is it possible to browse... moreYes the web browser is the successor of the kind that comes with the s60v3. It is much better suited to browsing the net as the large high res 3.2 inch display makes viewing pages that much easy. And the touch optimised interface feels more natural as the input is direct and you actually feel like using a full sized web browser. With the latest fw update,kinetic scrolling has been incorporated into the web browser as well so now with the new fw, scrolling through large pages is a breeze.
And since you have the EP-630, you'll really appreciate the audio quality as well. E63 is the king of connectivity in this price range but 5233 is more of an entertainment phone. So I guess both have their own edge. Since wifi and 3G is not a big deal, I guess 5233 will be a great choice for you.

I used to feel uncomfortable with this at first as well. Atleast a short cut would have been nice like the green button could be used to quick mark files.

1. can anyone let me know whats the normal EDGE speed supportable with 5233?
2. is EDGE the fastest connection 5233 can have?
( For Skype-to-Skype voice calls they recommend: 10 Kbits to 64 Kbits speed. For Skype-to-Skype video (both normal and high quality) they recommend: 384 kbps. SO do you think 5233 fulfills these?
