The only trouble is if you come accross a hardware glitch and you have to take your phone to the Nokia Service center. but what he said is right. If such a problem occurs, you can easily revert to the original fw by following the same steps.

Both Opera Mini and Opera Mobile is available for this phone. Opera Mobile is the smartphone equivalent of the mini and has a better UI and comes with a load of features like download manager, tabbed browsing, and full web browsing.The only thing missing is flash support.

Yes 3G and GPS are the difference. I have this nokia 5233 and it's great to use. Though it's not a loud ringer but the mp3 sound is good.

It might be because with the lack of integrated GPS, it is pointless to integrate maps in the first place. But don't worry Maps can still be downloaded and installed from the Nokia website. In addition, you also get the latest Maps version.

As long as you install apps downloaded from trusted and secure sites, such threats are virtually non existant. And read the User policy that comes with the app which is displayed before installation. If you find anything suspicious, don't install it.

I'm planning to buy a nokia phone soon.I've compared this phone model with 5230,and i didn't found much different. Besides no 3G and GPS, what else the different? does this model have other advantages compare to 5230? coz i think 5230 is better than this model, but i'm not sure bout this phone (5233) price? is it cheaper or more expensive (as it is new release) than 5230? So, if it more expensive than 5230, so it is not worth to buy this model. Any suggestion?

hey people i got diz hanset a week back n itz one of d most horrible ph i ever got...evrytime i use my ph it hangs and the application run damm slow...and the sound quality it bad and d ear ph u get along is also bad...plz if anyone thinkin to buy dis ph itz a sure no no from my side as per my experience ):

I have bought Nokia 5233 three days ago i have updated my mobile through internet (PC) after that my home screen does not shows OVI maps so pls advice me how to restore OVI Maps. I have only 11 Icons in my phone but when I bought this phone there was 12 Icons including OVI maps. Please please reply soon.
