[deleted post]I don't think he has anything else to do than to troll around the 5230/33 forums inviting trouble. Shameless would be the most merciful word that can be used to describe him.

Anonymous, 12 Aug 2010Thankzz Yaar vry much......Great review....
I jst wanted... moreAnytime mate...
32ohm eaarphones offer better clarity and removes unwanted hiss and noise forom the signals. But more power is required to drive these earphones. That being the reason whi 32ohm earphones are generally recommended for use with dedicated PMP's that have higher power output or use with portable headphone amplifiers. A 16ohm earphone requires less power compared to the 32ohm earphone but works well for low power devices like mobile phones.
A higher impedance results in lower audio output. So the volume has to be pumped up a bit to get the desired audio output. This would mean having to use the maximum volume all the time. For mobile phone's it's a waste of energy. So 16ohm earphones are generally preferred over 32ohm earphones.

Anonymous, 11 Aug 2010Yaar Can tell me a review on sennheiser mx160 ???
PLZ.......Hi mate... I have no personal hands on experience with the MX160. Though it was available at a shop nearby, I bought the philips SHH9700 instead. The specs seemed to be good and after all it's a seeny so you can't go wrong with SQ. The only thing that bugged me was the form factor. I prefer inear earphones for it's superior noise isolation and improved SQ. MX160 is a earbud type earphone so don't expect much noise isolation. Anyway the MX160 is definitely a good entry level earphone and a good starter. i advice you to spend a bit more and get an inear earphone like the creative EP630. The sound improvement is much much more than normal earphones.
Some of the things to look for when buying earphones are
1) Frequency response - the bigger the better though anything above 15KHz is almost inaudibe by a normal heman being. (not a good parameter to judge the quality of an earphone)
2) Driver unit - bigger briver unit gives more realistic bass but the high ends are sacrificed. (the case with sony walkman headsets like HPM-64). inear earphones have smaller drivers which gives better treble but bass can sometimes feel bloated or underpowered. Overall performance is dependant on the quality of the earphone and the price you pay.
3) Sensitivity - A higher sensitivity means that the driver units are capable of producing sounds at a lower signal level. A higher sensitivity is recommended for low power devices like mobile phones wher the signal strenght is low compared to dedicated PMP's. this gives more audio output with lesser volume.
4) Impedance - it is the load or resistance offered by the earphones to an incoming signal. Here too a lower impedance is always better for mobile phones. Most earphones have an impedance of 16ohm. Higher impedance will also result in lower audio output and requires the volume to be pumped up.
So just take into consideration the following parameters the next time you go shopping for earphones. Works for me most of the time as long as the specs stated by the manufacturers are precise.

devash, 11 Aug 2010thanks sidewinder but sound distorts too so you better try ... moreOh i'm sorry.. I just didn't take into consideration the headphone factor. I use a premium Philips SHE9800 earphone. So it definitely has a better frequency response and dynamic range. Maybe this is why i haven't felt any sort of distortions even with that EQ setting.
And yes there is quite a few changes with v24 from v22. Currently i'm on v23. The only diff between v23 and v24 is the integration of Vivaz conversation in messaging and the addition of Omnia HD HS. So since the difference is not much from v23, I thought of sticking to v23 for the time being. But from v22, I'd suggest you upgrade to v23 or v24 as the performance improvements are better still.

For a better dynamic range, try this eq setting.

For me after doing a lot of listening tests this seems to be the setting that i feel most comfortable listening. I listen to alt metal and hard rock mostly. Just try tweaking a bit to get your perfect audio out.
