i have changed my 5235 firmware to 5230's v21 & a... morey do u want to downgrade ur phone???
Anyway there is currently no method to downgrade except go to nokia care.....

Hi ,
i have changed my 5235 firmware to 5230's v21 & also changed product code back to my white 5235.
How can i changed back to 5235's V12, as when i connected phone to NSU it shows u have latest software.
How i changed back to V12/V20?

if anyone didn't notice, v21 has shortned a GPS fix. when A-GPS is on, it now locks satellite within 30 seconds (provided you are in open space). previously it was used to be around 1 minute. and if AGPS is turned off, it takes maximum 3 minutes to lock position.. in v12, this time was used to be infinite with possiblity of failure in satellite lock. GPS is lot improved and bugs are fixed. this change was made in v20 of 5230 itself and them carried in v21.
marginal time decrease between auto UI rotation is biggest noticeable improvement in v21.
some under the hood changes are flash lite 3.1 (from 3.0) so it supports h264 codec (of limited resolution), latest JAVA runtime envioroment, tweaking in music EQ and camera mode settings etc. SDKs have been improved with more optimization with processor so applications take less time to open and close especially messaging/contacts/calender menu.

btw, when you guys install 5230s software on 5235, make sure you have latest version (v11.4) of ovi music application is installed. old version says device not supported after changing firmware.. i already have latest ovi music application on my 5235 (with 5230's firmware) and unlimited music service works for me as usual.

do you guys know what nokia have to do to update 5235? they just have to take base firmware of 5230 and change its bluetooth and device ld to 5235 and change camera exif file device id to 5235 and push this update to all 5235 product codes.. its a two minute work for their engineeres but they are lazy, ignorant.. shame on you nokia..

i felt this is a very difficult phone to learn but I'll give my full review of 5235 in 1 or 2 weeks.

It requires Microsoft .NET framework installed on PC to work. Be sure you have installed it first otherwise download and install it and then use Navifirm. Navifirm tracks all data directly from Nokia servers and you can also download firmwares using it and then can install it using JAF (all if NSU fails to do its job)

Manu, 14 Aug 2010Hi Anuj, can you please suggest why my phone software updat... moreChange back the product code to any of Indian 5230 (because I am sure scribble is available to these product codes) and then change the date in your phone by 2 days because since you have already checked for update, SW won't check any updates by connecting to server for next 24 hours. Changing time settings works. Once done, change back it to actual.

And MANU the SHAZAM app... Is installed in the music folder...if u don't find it just download it from the ovi store
