Just a thought- perhaps the user memory issue for 5235 (320mb vs 70mb) may have been a little overblown. Even e-series phones dont have 320 mb phone memory. Before launching in India, Nokia India site said phone memory would be 320 mb, a mistake that was quickly rectified after the launch. Most probably, Nokia Europe is using the same data thereby making the same mistake. After all, the phone has not been launched in Europe yet. When it sees light of the day there, i expect it to have no more than 70 mb of user memory. 320mb at this price range doesnt seem likely.

Haris, 20 Jul 2010Hey anuj my M-Card File system is already FAT32... & th... moreYou really have downloaded too much in short period, I simply can't do that with my slower EDGE connectivity on phone. Anyways I doubt if there is any hardware error occurred meanwhile, it can't be rectified by firmware re-installation. Still you can try it yourself. Install either OVI suite or Nokia software updater. Connect your phone and check for software upgrades. It will tell you have latest version already and if you have any issues, reinstall it. There would be option to reinstall firmware. In this case, updater will download new copy of firmware from Nokia servers and automatically install it.
About the new firmware updates, you know that Nokia is not providing them to 5235 for unknown reasons. The version installed on 5235 right now is very old and since then all other Nokia phones are regularly updated with performance improvements and new features. Phones with new firmware (like 5230/5233/x6) are much faster and smoother than 5235. 5235 is badly in need of firmware upgrade. I have raised this issue on official Nokia discussion forums. Please support me there by leaving comment about this and your similar concerns if any about Nokia 5235. I'm worried about my Phone's modem, Because I've downloaded 32GB with 30 days & 22GB within 8 days using torrents or IDM... I feel that this much burden can affect my phone's modem.
Can you tell me that Nokia Care will update my firmware or reinstall if I request for this......

About memory card issue, I think you will need to format your memory card from PC by changing its file system to FAT32. FAT32 system is better than original FAT system on memory card and so it will respond faster to phone operations and so the smoother video playback. But backup content on memory card using PC suite before formatting. I am sure it will work because I have encountered with similar issues before so I always change file system on memory cards to FAT32 right after purchase.

Another issue I'm having from 3 days that when I connect it to my PC for internet using BSNL 3G, after downloading 27-30MB internet freezes (hangs, means there is no data is sending or receiving) & each time I have to restart the phone, then only I'm able to dial again. But when I've changed my phone with Nokia 2730c, internet is working fine.
Is anybody else who is having the same problem with this handset, pls tell me is there any need to take bother about it or it is a normal issue that will gone automatically...
And also tell me what will happen if use "Reset Factory Settings" option, will my additional softwares & games will be lost (opera, nimbuzz etc.)..

However if you want to, delete the push mail applications named 'mail settings and mail' (located in application menu at bottom with pink colored '@'icon). Then again go to messages to define email, put needed details like user name and password for complex and then this time select "I will retrieve my emails manually" instead of "activate automatic delivery" when promoted.

Hey guys, the only best option is to buy nokia 5230 and quickly update it to v21 and buy WH-701 if you want to. This whole deal costs 600 inr less from 5235. But the bad news is that they discontinued 5230 in india. Booo you nokia? :-@

Your phone must be connecting to internet frequently to check for new emails. If you don't want that, turn the push mail off so that phone wont connect automatically but you can still retrieve mails manually whenever you want.
