Hello friends, I have issues with the video capture of 5235. If I save them on my m card, they freeze when played back. I am thus forced to save my camera videos on phone memory therefore unable to capture long videos. Nokia care says I am using 8gb m card therefore phone is unable to save properly. I dont understand- isnt 5235 supposed to support 16gb of ext memory? Anyone facing same prob? Is possibly my set is defective? The m card is okay for it worked smoothly with my friend's 5233. Could a future software update resolve the issue?

May be its a right and time we Indians should start looking for options other than Nokia especially when Samsung, HTC, Sony Ericsson including some Indian companies like Spice, Videocon have better value proportion to offer unlike constant disappointment and arrogant attitude by Nokia towards Indian users. I am not convinced that my next purchase will be Nokia again, at lest I don't find any reason to be Nokian again.

this is a clear indication from Nokia stating " you Indias start thinking before you buy or we will sell u all the goods which do not have any value in international market"
Just see the business trick...first introduced 5230 when the market price started falling for the product they changed the product name to 5235. People started thinking this is an upgraded version and will have new feature. However when they connect the phone to Nokia software updater they see there phone recognised as 5230....(they we realise we have purchase a nokia 5230 in the name of Nokia 5235)
Nokia u should stop taking indians for granted or we will give u the same value which is given to a china phone in the market

Forgot to mention that Nokia India and GSMarena are now stating the user memory of 5235 as 70MB and it is actually for 5235's available till date in India and other few markets indicating NAND memory is 256MB only. NAVIFIRM, a firmware upgrade and product code tracking tool tracks 5235 in India as 5235 v1 means there could be 5235 v2 or else in future for other markets. This will obviously be like cheating with Indian users.

Yes, 5235 is supposed to have 512 MB NAND memory resulting in around 320 MB usable memory in C: drive but atleast sets being sold in India don't have this. See the specifications of 5235 on Nokia websites worldwide, you will see 320 MB user memory. Nokia India website and even the GSMarena were mentioning same till May'09 before the launch of phone. Strangly Nokia India, an official Nokia site changed that within a short period of launch. And now no firmware updates to 5235 at all. Not to say much but I am loosing trust I used to have with brand Nokia.

Learnt about the NAND memory issue from your post. Will Nokia sell 2 versions of the same phone - a 1st world version and another 3rd world version? Isnt it rank illegal?

We as a 5235 owner have a right to ask for new features as all other Nokia touch screen phones are upgraded except 5235. I have just raised this issue on official Nokia discussion forum. Please support me there by leaving comment that you also want new features and updates. You just need Nokia Ovi account to leave comment there. Please do this. You can also raise other issues there as a 5235 owner. I am from India. Its pretty lame that lower priced 5230 and 5233 are upgraded to higher version with latest features but 5235 is missing updates.
