i think the 6300 is a bit more of a femanine phone in my opinion. it would be good for her she would like it

it goes green because that is the colour camera phones go when there is bad lighting. turn a light on when u take a photo.

Brandon - come on man surely u can look up how many songs u can fit on a 1gb card. if u r using this phone souly for music then what are you doing here. Sony Ericsson have made themselves known with the walkman range, choose the right one and u cant go wrong with music phones like walkman. on a tight budget? so u choose nokia over sony ericsson there are plenty of sony ericssons that are cheaper then this with still better music players.
face it nokia arent a great music capable phones, they are creating competition so that they can actually stay in the market.
Shanny - thats a stupid question, name a modern phone(produced in the last year) that does not have T9(dictionary)
Ira - you want a slider with good battery?? bahah no such thing. same with flips, never have the batttery capabilities that brick(no form) phones have. u want an excellent battery on a slider go 6288 or S.E w580
anna - yeah i study science but that is when it reaches terminal velocity sweetheart. ur expierment is something like dropping a tank and a golfball of the eifel tower they are both going to reach 9.8m/s (terminal velocity) and travel the same speed to the ground, we are talking a meter drop here, cant reach terminal velcoity if it is light so being a heavy phone it will be reaching terminal velocity faster then the lighter phone hence hitting the ground harder because the lightweight phone cant pick up as much speed as the heavier did in the space and time that is given. checkmate.

Victor - this is why they install a camera for you so u dont have to lug around a big hunk of rubbish attached with the phone. it has a camera that works well just use it with that

i've had this phone a few days now and personaly find it good value for money and a good phone...thank god i dont take notice of people like ' okedokee ' and I Hate 5300' who cant even act grown up and write proper sensible opinions!!

undathaground- it doesnt matter how much mass an object has as to how fast it falls when dropped. all that matters is the wind resistance and friction.
ie. a lightweight object will fall to the ground with the same acceleration (9.8m/s/s) and therefore the same velocities as a heavier object.

what do you suggest to buy? a Motorola KRZR K1, or the Nokia 5300 (in terms of durability, the GSM frequency-bands the cellphone has access to, battery life, ease-of-use, OS-ease-of-use, features, Bluetooth capability, Bluetooth user-friendliness, access to the different Bluetooth accessories out there, the things you are able to do with the Bluetooth-wireless-technology on the cellphone, etc).

One week after I got the Nokia 5300. On August 24 2007, the screen cracked. I don't know when and how it happened. I always put the phone on my pocket before I am sure there is nothing else in my pocket. It's Nokia's product flaw and we customers pay its shame bill.

hi undatheground : thanx for your advice but i was thinking to give her NK 3110 classic, which is having the
similar kind of features like 6300 yes the difference is in camera, 3110classic have 1.3megapixal camera but i haven't use this phone if you can help me out with the proper details as compared to 6300 like battrey back up, music plyer and other features.

i have the red 5300 and i have dropped it a few times - nothing more than a few scratches wich are hardly noticable.
another great thing about this phone is that u can change the colour whenever u want really, it can be green pink purple black grey orange and red. i have seen them all at phone stores and its good to change them because sometimes the rubber goes black.

Rai - a phone for ur girlfriend: 6300. its new its similar to 6233 and the 6300 is really really snazzy. it has all the features too. 2mp cam, mp3, everythin(though i dont no if it has a memory card slot., might have to look that up)

I hv bought 5300 just few weeks back...n i am quite surprised after reading the comments of others on the same...i think it has awesome voice clarity...gud camera...especially when its on night mode...i also like the extra effects it can put in a pic...the only thing which hurts me is the ph. memory...its only 5MB!!!
its a joke on its status...
on the top of tht u need to buy 1 or 2 GB memory card...to enjoy its awesome features...
But overall out of 10...i wl gv atleast 8 to this one.I just luv it!!!

I have mine for 7 months now..
No problems or whatsoever.. I always put it in my pocket and the LCD don't break apart..
Also I always make sure not to set the volume at full level 10.. I always use 9 as max..
Yesterday I saw original all black and lilac 5300 in the mall at the price of 7900 pesos php or 177 US$..
I expect prices to go down to 150-160$ by the end of this year..
