ahh...yes...i knew i would miss out some point...
Creating Playlists:
1.start ur music player
2.select music library or show tracks
3.choose the songs you want to put in a playlist and select "add to favourites"
4.after choosing ur songs,go to Music library-tracklists-favourites
5.press options and "save as tracklist"
6.Give ur tracklist a name and start enjoying ur music!
P.S. 5300's bought at a really cheap price either from an operator or some sort of dealer tend to break easily...weird...im using a 2nd hand 5300 and i had no problems whatsoever. some of the posts state that their phone got problems and got replaced by t-mobile..etc..etc...bought 4 $60 etc..etc..Hmm...what are those dealers and operators do with those problematic 5300s...one problemed set can't state that this phone is useless or cR@p! some of you who replaced your 5300's from the operators or dealers and still have the same problem,try gettin anothe at an authorised nokia phone dealer.

well...after my 1st comment, i read on the posts...i got few more hings to say...
Deleting mp3's in music player:
no..u cant,u can delete in in the gallery where u put ur mp3's
Video Formats:
5300 supports nokia mp4 & 3gpp (the mp4 format must be a certain type of mp4. like a mp4 file converted directly from the nokia multimedia player)
Battery Life:
Battery does drain out quickly under heavy usage,maybe due to it's LCD display, practice power saving and charging habits and it shouldn't let you down,depending on your battery condition. Playing songs and gaming continuosly will drain ur battery within a few hours.while playing music,try to lay off the buttons,stick to the playlist.And while u lock the keypad, press the "end" (red) button to let the phone turn off the lights within 3 seconds and jump to the screensaver mode. This will greatly increase your battery life.(this tip has been on the internet 4 quite awhile now) If your charger can't charge your phone correctly, check if it's authentic, Faked Nokia chargers wont charge the phone effectively.
Camera Quality:
What can you expect from a phone that cheap? it's not Nsiries! But it's better than a VGA camera & is good enough for me!
Appz problem:
If you get an error after installing games n apps,try installing it using Nokia Application Installer from the PC suite software.
Memory card problems:
Get a new memory card if ur's has a problem. Get high quality memory cards and not those faked or cheap ones, if you do, don't blame the phone for these problems. Use memory cards from manufacturers such as Sandisk or Kingston.
Sliding Mechanism Reliability:
Don't worry,It's reliable. I've abused it so much and it stayed the same. But please take good care of ur phone!
Screen Cracking:
Why does a lot of ppl complain about the LCD getting cracked? At most carelesness & misuse of the phone,or maybe you have bought a defected set from yur dealer. I myself have dropped the phone L0tS of times, once on a concrete pavement,once on rocky ground and once while i was riding my mountainbike! All i get are few scratches. Maybe unless your 5300 fell from a 3 storey building or got ran over by a car.

i just love this phone..functions are great,an "not too bad" 1.3mp camera,nice sound quality (if you set the EQ's right) and smooth slide mechanism...but sadly...mine got stolen along with my N-gage! wish to have it back if i had te chance! Anyhow...Great phone to own..but i'm opting 4 a Nokia 5700 as a replacement!

it is a great phone! but the weight of it compared to other phones is a bit on the heavy side. to use it, it is very simple and you will never go wrong anywhere!

I found some EQ settings posted elsewhere...
I entered them (edited) for my "Set 1" and "Set 2"
Here you go:
Suggestion to make it sound louder with clear sound.
I find that adjusting the Equalizer these ways produce louder sound with less distortion:
(1 to 9 lines with the 1 way down,5 neutral and 9 way up)
Rock: 9-7-8-5-9
Clean: 5-6-5-8-9

Did u update ur firmware to v5.51? If u did the sound should be clear enough, juz switch ur equalizer to "normal" when u play through ur phone loudspeaker. The equalizer will affect the sound quality or clarity when u play through loudspeaker is the same thing with ur headphones.

.how can i make the sounds more clear?.please help.the music sounds scrathy on speakers, but in headset, it works fine.im thinking the equalizer is messed up..how can i get it to sound clearer?? =.=

Can someone please tell me the largest size microSD card this can handle? Phonescoop.com listed it as 2GB but I know they make larger cards so I don't know why 4gb would be a problem. I'm thinking of getting this phone but I really don't think 2GB will be enough.

It's a alright phone. People say I sound muffled when I talk though and the pictures are okay and the camera is medium the music player is the only thing I like the best, If it wasn't for that I would still have my razor...

Welll i haven't bought this phone but
looking at the opinions and they are great and i have a sony ericsson w850i and they are great never get second hand ones they're all messed up. always check every little bit of it i no everyone will just check the condition of it and say that abit of scratches but good deal i'll but it........NO look at the setting that every thing works i just looked at think every things aryt i bought it for £80 then i needed the camera to take a pic of my garden to put it on my computer and guess what
the camera was messed very bad graphics and after another month my friend bought one he put his camera on and it was aryt according to 2.00mega pixels i checked an i put all the settings on as my m8 had it no change so i tryed changing it back and i wanted my money bck and the person i bought it from had moved to austraylia. his next door neighboor told me. so wen eva u buy a fone CHECK ALL THE FEATURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Choke, your suggestion isn't good. It makes the sound closed but not clear. I m using this settings: 2/0/-1/4/4. It will make sound clear. Anybody ,anbody please made other suggestion about eqalizer.pls hlp.

Anybody who wants 2 achieve the best sound possible with 5300 should try these settings -
+2,+2,-4,-1,+3
5300 have almost no bass. So this setting gives it a little of that while making it suitable for most music genres. The sound will be much more soothing and enveloping if u use this setting.
