I want to set a ringtone for my individual contacts for incoming text messages... When I go through Contacts -> Add Details -> Add Tone, it seems to only apply to incoming voice calls... I still get the same text message alert for all my messages. Does anyone know how to change that or if it's at all possible? THANK YOU! :)

i got this phone about 6 months ago, and i need to exchange it or get a better one. the screen cracks really easily, and the buttons and part of the keypad just quit working for no reason. i would not recommend getting this phone because of the durability and storage(memory). i would look for something a little more durable and lasting that isn't so expensive.

yea i got the phone its good but the screen cracks easily an not enough internal memory an u gtta get yo stuff ( jus google things ull find it free 4 the phone )it dont come wit much so dont lose ur USB or ur headphones ( i lost mine i can only play music out loud )

@momof3: if u want to display the name of the songs in the mp3 player, you have to edit their ID3 tags. Use a ID3 tag editor or if u are using Windows XP, right click on the file and choose properties. Here u will be able to change the name of the song, the artist and the album. It is the inbuilt tag editor of Windows.

I've had the nokia 5300 phone for a year now in general I like the features of phone my personal favorite is the mp3 player I enjoy listining to my music while on way to work and also while playing online games and camera was great for taking pictures of my 3yr old nephew & niece enjoying Christmas you can also film video clips I can also access my email while away from my computer using the phone there are a few cons I don't like about the nokia 5300 the first issue I want to bring to your attention is the lcd on this phone is prone to crack with very little abuse or rough treatment I had to replace my lcd twice between October-December last year the other issue is battery life tends to be short especially if you do a lot of texting or surfing of websites thru phone but I still feel this is a good phone overall.

Hi. If you want some nice sound in your 5300 just edit your 2 equilizer set at the last, just follow this setting.
|+1|0|-1|+4|+4| or
|+3|+1|-3|+4|+4|. Dont forget to thank me. Hehehe

i'm really like this phone! i first saw the nokia 5200 which is very similar but the 5300 has better specs! go for 5300! does anyone know if the 5300 comes in the same blue as the 5200? i would really like to know because that colour rox!

The screen does not crack. But if it does, you are careless. So Nokia is dealing with a bunch o careless people here. This phone is Great.

Well, my opinion in this phone is its a good phone my phone is made in china at the back label, i bought this phone in oct 8 07. And i bought also a 1gb microsd card with full of songs and games to i actually have 40+ games, some are 3d like NFScarbon and fight night etc. And i use my gprs often a lot bcause the connection is good, well i have my own speaker set and i have no prob with batt. Cause i have a reserve one. Well i have 30 themes, 20 swf wallpaper, and cool aac ringtones, i drop this phone 6time, but so far just a scraths. Well i made this opinion ni my phone too.. In my operamini application. Just one advice dont buy fake... Stay cool folks keep jamming. Bye bye

Well for the friend below...every memory card says a number but it got less always because the same memory use it to operate or functionn even in every ipod 30 gb or 60 or whatever it got less always so there nothing wrong

my hubby got this phne 4 me for valentines day.. luv it so much..luv the fact that it has so many features.. the music player is awesome..phone is great 2..i got lavender n white.. radio great.. bat runs out quick, but i keep my chrger on me so not a big deal. 1 prob tho..can ne 1 tell me how do i rename my songs so they just don't say track 1 ..track 2..etc..

nokia 53oo is a good phone sound and picture quality is good only problem is baterry turn down quickly
