i have this one..
and i don't know how to remove the
reminders in the front..the display properties does not include anything to remove those(they're shortcuts actually)i tried the menu shortcuts but it only changed the ones above..so still what i have as a wallpaper seemed unrecognizable because of this.also when i tried to transfer files thru bluetooth there was an error message that said "PAIRED DEVICE FULL DELETE SOME FILES"i thought it was my memory who was full so i erased all my pictures but the error message still appears and i am unable to transfer anything at all..please help me..thanks..

Dont buy this phone. It hangs, goes on and off on its own. Mine is not even 6 months old but alas! i cant wait to take it back for warranty replacement.

I read somewhere that it only supports a 4GB which is still pretty decent.

Does anyone know how to turn off the beep when ever we I get a text message?

hey all ive tried this phone 3 months ago and now i finished by buying the new 5220 Xpress which is awesome ...
first the clarity of the sound sux really face it ... nt loud and i barely can hear the speakers !!(based on experience)
and the camera is realy slow ... which is bad ... ive never felt this comfortable with my new 5220 ... so i advice u all to buy the new 5220 xpress music cuz it really fits ur sould with its design

IMHO, i think 5310 is better than 6300. It has a 3.5mm jack to start with. Very nice audio driver. but u might want to consider buying better headphones or earphones if you want to experience its High quality music capabilities. The music player comes with equaliser. Makes the sound go even better. Got the same 2 mpx camera that comes with 6300. Im not sure how good the camera is, and i dont really care much about the image quality. Being good enough to make some snaps of my friends face is fine with me. Lolz. Got an 8.1 mpx, 10x optical zoom sony cybershot DSC-H10 camera anyway, if i really intend to take high quality pictures. Overall, this 5310 is worth to buy..

Yeah, there is Version 7 firmware for this fone. But first you must install the NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER. You can download it from the nokia website. After installing the updater, connect ur phone to the pc with the supplied data cable. PHONE MODE OPTIONS will appear on ur cell phone screen after a few moments. Choose PC SUITE MODE. *By the way, make sure the fone is fully charged to make sure it wont turn off unexpectedly during the update process, otherwise ur fone is dead and gone. BACKUP all your precious files, pics, themes, tones and mp3's before you proceed with the update.* Run the NOKIA UPDATER. The updater will automatically download and install the latest update on your phone. I have just updated my 5310 from version 5 to version 7 this morning. The update process ran for about 25-30 mins max. i used the data cable that comes with the phone for connection to the pc. but im not sure if bluetooth works as well. You can also read the instructions on updating your fone on the nokia website if my explanation here is not clear enough.. Goodluck, happy updating. =)

I bought this phone a week ago. In short; this phone is purely designed for who wants a mp3 player which is also a mobile phone.
Phone is extremely slim and light so you have feeling many times to check your pocket if it is still there. [The best way to avoid this reflex is to keep your headphones on with music all the time :)] For the same reason, I assume that is why some features are not strong as they are expected as from previous experiences with other phones or Nokia's models, such as weak loudspeakers and vibration sense. Sound quality from headphones is excellent. Battery life is satisfying for full time mp3 play plus few phone calls comparing regular mp3 player. Phone is equipped with strong power saver modes as it is required for its purpose. Menus are not as fast as other models due to the reason above so if you are very fast between menus, sometimes you cant figure which step the phone is still progressing. This phone is purely for who don't want to carry a mp3 player and a phone separately and listens music/radio often in daily life. Camera is average for a mobile phone. There are lot of resolution options. Actually, I dont care much about the camera tough. It is enough to shoot a scene in case of a need if you ask me. It doesn't have night mode if you care. I heard some stories that red/blue sidebars are falling off after a while but this could be related to how much you take care of your stuff.
Do not forget to update the phone's firmware from internet. Doing that has never been this easy. Plug the USB cable which is included in the package then install the related software from Nokia website and few clicks on "Next" button as software guides you, that is it.
Last word; I am happy and satisfied with 5310 as a person listens music/radio while traveling between home and work.
