Hi, to shorten your backlight time, what you need to do is lock your keypad. Once it is locked press the Red Button, or 'end call' button. The backlight will automatically turn off.

The specs on this web site claims that this phone can tkake 8GB memomory card. Is this true? Has anyone checked with Nokia? Has anyone tried 8GB card in the phone?

Love this phone!!! Got it last week and haven't been able to put it down!
Sound quality a PLUS along with many other features such as radio & music player, games, security, and the fact that I don't need a separate data plan to get my e-mails! Even with its size, using the keyboard is still easy and manageable.
CONS? Don't particularly like the camera and video...it looks grainy and you really gotta' hold still to take a pic - can take a bit!
Nokias are pretty good phones and a reputable brand! Overall, they live up to their name with the 5310! I give it a 4.5 out of 5!

My Nokia 5310 v.5.81 has no image sequence function it is gray in the option list,is it because of my firmware version?

i had dis one last night i buy it in the mall..n73 is good also..
like the camera of n73!
i want all of u to know that 5310 is so COOL..i really really love the music!
loveeee iiiiit!*mwah*
the only one problem that i see to it is the camera.=(
it has no flash. .
but the music is very cool!
so i'm gonna buy again a new one
which is n78
a brand new fone!
i'm searching for a fone which is SUPER COOL..

this phone its the worst phone in the whole world. i really reccomned you dont get it because i just got this phone 2 months ago, and its already freezing up everytime i try and send a text. its too thin and delecate so its really breakable. i dropped it on my bed from like, 1 foot in the air, and it deleted my fav 5s. this is a horrible phone. DO NOT PURCHASE

had 3 different replacements of this phone now in the uk, each time because the phone would reboot at random times during playback of music, this was on firmware 05.81. having just noticed 7.01 is available in europe, i have just installed it on my device via software updater, and i can confirm the loudspeaker and EQ are PLENTY better, i will comment on the music player reset once ive done some testing :)

i've got my unit from my family, they gave to me as a birthday gift. the moment i opened the gift wrapper and saw the box, i immediately thought that it contained something else besides a cellphone cause the box is rugged and worn out.when i opened the box, there it was, the phone..one look and i could tell its fake cause 1) the box doesn't have nokia authentication sticker and the IMEI sticker, and its wornout; 2) the phone and its accessories are wrapped in plastic (not zip bags), 3) missing accessories that are printed on the box that should have been there, 4)manual is printed on newsprint-like paper (first time i saw this kind). and when i turned on the phone, more tell-tale signs appeared: 1) very very narrow viewing angle (jus a very, very little tilt up or down the screen goes white); 2) speaker has static sound; 3)screen turns black when backlight turns off,4) screensaver is never displayed; 5) i can't seem to find the hands-free feature, 6)miss-spelled function key "shoutcut", i do believe it's "shortcut", and a lot more flaws that i may not have found yet (haven't tried and compared the cam yet).. but luckily i use my phone just to send sms and make/receive calls.. other than that, any added features are just bonuses to me,which i really don't use a lot..and really, i can't complain cause my family gave it it me even though i didn't ask for a new phone and they were short on budget ( bought just a third of the price of originals)..and, its way, way better than my previous phone (8210)..so there, i still love it even if my unit is crappy, but i do think that the originals are great.. but, that's just me...

i have a serious problem with my set.. the screen is turning white from inside at the corners.. in bright sunlight the screen looks fully white as if there is a layer of whiteness on the inner screen.. plz can anyone tell me watto do?.. will the problem be solved if taken to service centre??

1. How to change the backlight time (in my mobile, it's default 20 sec; I want to reduce the time to save battery power )?
2. How to increase the volume of Alarm?
