Hey there, sincerely regret not reading one of the wise posts out here. Anyways got slain & here's my story folks. Looks can kill but are deceptive, 5310 bears testimony to this. Problem one The phone has an xtremely poor external sound output.The damn thing rings in my pocket& I cant hear it
Problem two: well the earphones are weird too( I kinda fail to understand what's the logic of of two unequal length of ear plugs??)
Problem three: The music console too is wonky: It restarts whenever it wants to & updates the music lib on it's own.For what??The console too is abstemious & could be better for a music version( after all that's what it's meant for!!).
Problem four: ( THe biggest one)Well the adverts say 18 hours of music playback(HA HA HA)The 5310 wont last 24 hrs with a full charge (even if you're not listening to music!!)
The rest probs are to meagre to mention like the office utilities too are kinda useless.
The games are stupid & it does not come preloaded with 50 songs as the company claims it to be. The verdict:- The 5310 is definitely the ostracized one amongst the nokia lot.Try the walkman series from Sony instead if you love ur music
So people shop smart & look out for reviews

im confused what nokia phone will i buy...i like the stule og 5310 but i don't know if it performs well..

Maybe W890 would be better, but then again 5310 would be a lot cheaper than W890.
Plus, walkman phones never have 3,5" jack so far.
Personally, after my bad experience with W850, I prefer 5310 this time.

I so wanted a Sony Ericsson walkman phone but it irks me that they don't give you a regular 3.5mm earphone jack. I my view this phone "out-walkmans" the walkman phones. Is there a Walkan phone out there wiht a 3.5mm? Or are Nokia and Motorola the only ones that understand music lovers?

For those people who badmouth at their 5310, I feel sorry for you. Most likely you got your handsets from puny, iddy-biddy markets and not from a genuine Nokia Store.
Because I got mine more than 3 weeks ago and it works super! I'm currently using a 2GB microSD and it's not slow. Sound quality from the speakers are fair enough for a slim phone. But whenever I plug in my Altec Lansing MX5021 speakers, the sound bursts vibrantly. You wouldn't think it's coming from a mobile phone, but hey, again, this is an XpressMusic phone.
I also use a Sennheiser HD-555 headphone and music is terrific! The treble is great, the bass is pumping and every instrument is heard.
This is my best music experience from an S40 phone. I actually own two Nokias, this 5310 and the awesome N81 8GB.

i am sikandar it is beautiful mobile but is not available in sambian software is incomplete mobile
You are requested to so please new manifucture in this mobile music edition and you will available in sambian software becaues is very important all mobiles.
Sir please nokia old mobile 6600 is rewnew in music edition becaues this mobile is no.1 in past so, please sir renew this mobile, sir i have some instruction this mobile

this is the worst phone wichi have seen in nokia mobiles there is no sound output how they r saying this is music edition i really just want to sell my phone because it is the
worst phone i buyed it for 10,500 last 3days bbefore but no one is redy to take this phone for evev for 8000 this the hell phone
so i kindily rsquest tose persons dont buy this model nokia is cheating people saying
that this is music express my kindly resquet

Bought Nokia5310 on 26-12-2007 (today is third day of purchase). Phone got hangged (inactive, no button works, cannot be even "power off") three times. Each times battery had to be removed, reassembled. This requires all day-date data to be put again. The seller says this is a problem even with still costilier mobiles. Requesting a solution or preventive measure for this problem

design wise is very cool.. the video has its flow ( like choppy recording unlike 5300 ..)the camera is fix-set on night mode) i wonder why ?? anyone who notice this too??
mp3 is nice, as well as (LCD)jpeg viewer is fantastic,

How to increase the brightness of the display? Mine is very dark and when I compare it with the display of 6300 it's seems awful!!! Any suggestions?! I rummaged among the menus and didn't find anything...
