How to increase the brightness of the display? Mine is very dark and when I compare it with the display of 6300 it's seems awful!!! Any suggestions?! I rummaged among the menus and didn't find anything...

5310 is a candy-bar model with a slim design that comes in blue or red. Nokia didn't jump on the slim-phone trend with the enthusiasm of, oh let's say Samsung, but it definitely works here. At 4.09-inches tall by 1.76-inches wide by 0.39-inch thick and weighing 2.47 ounces, the 5310 is a sleek, eye-catching mobile with compact dimensions that make it eminently portable. Even with such a trim profile, the 5310 includes dedicated music controls and a 3.5mm headset jack on the left spine.
Besides the music player, the 5310's feature set includes a 2-megapixel camera, full Bluetooth with a stereo profile, an FM radio, a microSD card slot for cards up to 4GB (that's about 3,000 songs), a speakerphone, and messaging and organizer applications.
Impressions: The volume presented by 64-chord ring tones is average, overall the 5310 is not the loudest device around, so we experienced some difficulties with hearing it in the street, and it lacked volume indoors as well. Actually, this is our major gripe with the handset. In terms of reception quality, the phone is flawless. The vibro alert is middling strength-wise, but you will feel the phones vibration while it is in your pocket. Given its current price tag, this phone appears to be a pretty good way to go if you are looking for an entry-level music playing solution it is quite petty and sports all the goodies of the S40 5th edition under the hood. The youth wont find a better offering if they are after a straightforward and functional phone, when getting used to a smartphone is not an option. If you are a music buff, you will be better off with the senior models, even though you won't notice much of a difference between them sound-wise with a pair of custom earphones plugged in. They will come jam-packed with accessories and different form-factors.On balance, the 5310 is the handset opening Nokias music range. It is a potent device, not without some flaws, yet boasting an array of advantages as well. It probably wont be a best seller, but will generate some solid sales.

All features are cool other than, it has poor battery backup. As it's a music phone it must have a durable battery.

If you haven't bought it..consider others brands first.
My 5310 just bought 1 month, and the LCD was broken without reason. I never drop it nor press it. But Nokia charge me only base on their own adjustment and didn't believe me at all. Shouldn't they think about the design, assembly line or components problem ? If the mobile so week and bad design, why should I pay for that ? The only reason i bought it is I love the music design and trust this brand. Now, i totally disppointed.

i buy this phone some weeks before when it was newly introduce in Pakistan still no one knows what are the features of this mobile so before this mobile market value down i sell this out with the loss rupees 3000 PKR - ( 60 Pkr = 1 USS $ )& i bought this mobile 16000 PKR.
Because on second day of purchase this mobile i found some internal error & after warranty claim they told me company will give me new mobile & unfortunately after using four to five days i notice that this mobile don't have such features what i actually expected & the main reason was low tune , sound , battery life , hanging problem , Not supported Symbians , many songs not played i think this mobile can only suitable only for whom who can use it with head phone all the time.

In my opinion, the phone is built for your own Music pleasure. If you want a phone with the features like the smart phones then I would not recommend buying this phone due to the reason that it's a Series 40 v3 phone which only supports Java application (.jar) but not Symbian application (.sis or .sisx). If all you wanted is an excellent quality music than I recommend you to buy this one. The supported File Manager for this phone is MobiExplorer.
