this phone is very bad i buy this phone new for 11500 and sell it in one day u just think its so bad that i cant keep it for 1 day i took sony ericsson w950i its realy cool phone i have every come through.
very very low sound in speaker dont think that u will hear sound of ringtone in crouded areas and second thing cam is so bad not clear only good thing is sound in handsfree.
and one more thing about it that from back it looks like its cheap mobile as if u r useing any reliance 500rs mobile phone.

-Volume is adequate during conversation. Can hear the other party speak even when walking around the city during busy traffic
-Speaker volume for ringtones is a little soft compared to other phones. I usually have the ringtone set at maximum, which does the job
        -Beautiful screen quality
-Battery life for me was okay, for me, it can operate 2 days on stand-by/talk time about 30 minutes a day before needing a recharge
-Music quality and fidelity is phenomenol. Use your own earphones though as the ones provided are average at best
-Keypad is small, so along with the slim design, text messaging is a chore and takes getting used to (pressing with your thumb/finger tips helps)

hi...well was reading all the comments about the latest mobiles that have been reviewd by all the mobile gurus living in different parts of the world....in my opinion, that is there is no hard and fast rule that u ppl out there have to agree wid...is that many other new mobile users and moderate mobile users basically rely on the voting results and the specification of the cells but sometimes they do read the commnets also and if there is anything doubtful about the product they usually go astray and follow there hearts and in return buy what is not helpful for them in any ways....so my humble request to all of u is that make the comments as simple as possible and try to give the best things vs bad things of that devise....might be it will help them to buy the right cell for the right desires...thnx to all and may God be wid u all!!!!

i know that walkman's sounds quality isn't that good when you connect to your HI-FI system and when use another headset outside the HPM-70 in retail package.... but i don't mind that.... that's the THE BEST YOU CAN GET in mobile phone package... in NOKIA 5310 retail package , you'll get a cheap headset from NOKIA... the quality is very2 average... than you should waste your money again to buy a good headset... that's why people still love WALKMAN phones... because they gave the best package for music experience...

                        Sound Quality:
                        W910i vs. 5310XM vs i450

"When it all started for music playing phones, this very concept was quite new, and the Walkman brand went up in ranks in no time. Hardware-wise, the W910i sports no dedicated chips for sound enhancement, and in the sense of sonic experience, rather than player’s functionality, all Sony Ericsson branded handsets turn out to be pretty much in the same boat.

While it made sense when the line-up had no real competition, with the development of Ultra Music from Samsung and Nokia’s XpressMusic, Walkman starts getting a run for its money. When we compared the sound quality delivered by the W910i with the Nokia 5310 and the Samsung i450, it was clearly behind both of them. Its bass level is less decent than that found on other solutions, the same goes for its top volume settings, and the equalizers found on the Nokia’s phone have greater impact on what you actually hear. It turns out that the Sony Ericsson’s product trumps them only with its software, whereas it comes short on the hardware front. Furthermore, those looking for superior sonic experience will have to look elsewhere – this flagship is definitely not for them."

nothing is impossible... yes i know we are entitled to our own opinion but mobile review's comment on 5310 beating w890's sound quality is based on data gathered and different tests made... so if i were you...id just accept the fact... dont be too narrow minded... your a fan of se that's why for se is the best... but let us respect those who are in favor of nokia (like me)... ok? cheers

FIY, 5310 marks several records for Nokia......
5310 officially is Nokia's smallest phone ever at 44.8cm^3, beating the former champion 2630 by just 0.2cm^3.
it is also the first and only series40 UI based phone to have the universal 3.5mm.
Moreover, it is one of the best sounding series40-based phones ever along with its elder brother 5610 by the help of TI's DAC33 audio chip.
W610 and W880 get beaten this round. the 5310 is only less than 10% more expensive than W610 while offering far better display and audio performance and sporting 40% slimmer profile.
Also, 5310 is sold 20%+ cheaper than W880...but SE will do a twist in price between this duo next month.

Okay hear this: THE SPEAKER VOLUME OF THE NOKIA 5310 IS WEAK. That's one fact. Hold on to your money, wait for Nokia to come out with an upgrade on this one and for the price to drop further.
