its too bad.. i like the features of this phone. Its like my Ngage QD the side rubber grip just peeled off by its self because of the extending of rubber, but id fixed it not by gluing it.. by buying a "Class A" side rubber grip imitation, its rubber is different from the original one and ohh btw i tried an original once and it peels off again.. the imitation lasts until now! 2yrs.
Well i guess i'll be waiting for its "Class A" imitation casing..i live in the Philippines and its too many imitation casing around here for a totally cheap cost of 2$-10$ i wouldnt bother changing my casing every month hehe..

This phone is total disappointment, battery is bad, it is very very very slow, keypad falls of (90 % of people had this problem) water proof hahahahahah. It has many good features but all of them can not repair damage caused by keypad and battery, on the and this two are key features on any phone. do not take this phone not even for 1$

hay gays i have 2pnones whit simbian9.1os-n73 and 5500.if caypad was not from rubber will gryte phone ,becouse all programs for symbian9.1 work on the both phones.look at n73 opinions for programs.this like me when i use it like a mp3 player/i instal "lgg jukebox" player/,becouse is much smallest from n73 and is easu to put in smalest pockets/specialy in summer/.to wach video is better n73-big display,but if you instal "smartmovie" from lonely cats whit divx and xvid is better.you must have convertor from same company on pc to convert divx ,xvid video-make it in 208 x208reslution is better.and have posibility to remove biggest clips.for example 8min 2gb clip from my sony camcorder when i converted whit "smartvovie" convertor in xvid avi 208x208resolution is 90mb.you can remote clip and sound is perfeckt.about battery live-if you make 10pictures,2 3gp videos,watch 8min divx video and about 2 mix on jukebox,but 4ahr-for example last april mixes dj tiesto from club "nouveau" in holland and make 4calls -live is 1day.this is extreme use,normal battery live is 2days.saym story is in n73neverd mind that battery is 1100mah-display is bigger.i hope that this information will usefull for users.madpanas

this phones wicked!!!i chucked mine across the street the other day, it still workin perfectly aswell as leavin it in the sink.....on purpose!!!im tellin u this phone is awesome!!!

yepp..I bought the phone...Nope keypad isn't peeling off yet...Os is perfect with plenty software to back it up...yepp exactly what i wanted...yepp very good buy for price...nope I am not going back to phone without an OS...yepp I am happy until further notice...

yes my keypad has also peeled off--quite alarmed that this phone is advertised as being durable but has a aluminium case??? mine is now full of dents.
besides that a great phone, cant answer it in the shower though like the previous shock proof phone from nokia. give me that one any day!!! it was bulletproof! much unlike the 5500 'sport' i have now.
not a good effort nokia..

i have this phone since oct 2006.
i had to change this phone once due to signal not picking up.
now it has been a few monthes with this piece.
now the keypad has started to fall off.
otherwise this is the best phone i have used.

i have this phone .it"s really great .it"s a high sound system phone.but it"s key pad it"s not so good.but i have changed this key pad.so buy this phone with out any hisitation.

ok...I'm going to buy this phone in 2 days...I really need to explore the os...I heard about the falling off keypad issues, yepp, its not just a rumour...but also I heard how to fix is for yourself with epoxy, and once stuck correct,,no more problems with keypads,..I heard some people complaining on the start up time..."Its a smartphone for crying out loud"...Then there is a rumour that the battery dies too fast,,,research was done and its because the sport software runs in the background, but it can be shut off from PC Suite...for those who think the screen is too small, go get glasses...

TO JAY dont worry your are just like me, i have had my 5500 sport since october last year, now the key pad has fallen apart, just like everyone elses.

The best phone i've ever had : light, powerful, no pb with keyboard, and great when working in GPS mode with route77. I've had 3 samsung before (i320, D600, e350), 1 sony-ericsson (T610), 2 nokia (6111, N-gage) but none of them could compete with 5500. Symbian 60 is great too.

had the phone for 5 months and its been brilliant, people complain about the keypad loads but ive never had any issues! a lot better than my old Sony Ericsson! plus i found a site that sells front or back covers including keypad for £10 each ($20 ish) cheapest and best phone ive ever had!

This phone is so Sporty like myself. Im an avid Triathlon competitior. I once did a team triathlon where i was on the final cycle leg and I went from 20th to 109th. I even got a finishers medal my mum was so proud. With this phone im sure the music and pedometer will help me strive for more success and maybe a PB!

all your keys pads, will fall apart soon, dont buy this phone, and the symbia60 platform will crash, and block u from using your contacts, nice people those nokias

that is not too bad phone but really it's need to upgrade . sonyericsson made that mobile w710i that is the best in the view and battery and really it's sport with good features . but it's not from steel like nokia 5500 but sonyericsson w710i is the best . I am sure it's battery 350 hour and it's designed for the music so i can hear the music more than 20 hour daily and 10 hours talk

the 5500 is good-have fast amr4-cpu 235mhz,display is bright.you can use 1gbcard,recomend to have at any time 20mb free space in card.bad thing of the phone is rubber claviature-is imposible to fixed,ifyou replaced after 10 days will clue out again.so i use extraordinare solution-put it the phone in plastic case/no have original-use from 3220nokia-must make hole for camera and for usb pop port/no problem now-esturday was on beach 25c on sun and no clue out becouse is in case.and at the back side of the case have staple for belt-you can hangin the phone /on bicikle like me/and making the pictures whit selftimer mode.madpanas

Love it, Ive been on the phone to people in the shower and it still works fine, sometimes have to blow the water out of the speaker though. Lives up to all of Nokia's adverts about it been a "rough and tough" phone!!

me to the hands free set is s__t it cums out only out the 1 side that is not to bad but the key pad is s__t it has pealed off i am so pised at nokia this is a sports phone how the hell can the sell it the shold take every 1 back fix the problem 4 good and give it back
