Ok guys, I've flashed my FW to the regular FW of c6 without the Xtension Patch given by Nikko (I got a bit of a confusion that's why no Xtension) In the texting department it doesn't have the turn to qwerty feature. . which is the only feautre lost that made me frustrated. . Im gonna reflash this to an xtension tommorow. . In the active stand by, it's way much better than our original homescreen, but sometimes I feel it's a bit slow. . Icons and texts are also smaller. . well that's all I got to say for now

Nuwan, 21 Sep 2010Dear nafis, I totally agree with my brother Jett... You ... morei'm very tempted to try CFW but my warranty has expired..
Hackers have finally managed to overclock symbian^1 (on 5230), but it isn't released yet, i'm following the post and if the overclocking works 'as expected' and manages to deliver better performance (like playback of higher resolution of h264 coded videos or 3D games ), then i'll for sure flash the phone.. and the great thing is the overclocking is done by a simple 'rompatcher' and we can change it whenever we feel so, doesn't even require a restart...

About the battery life. I think they made it improved. But I don't feel any changes on the battery life. Maybe its just me.

And YES, the MediaBar WORKS on our 5530. xD

I totally agree with my brother Jett... You can try whatever the experiment with your unit (without hardware experiments.. Ok..) and then claim for the warranty... These Nokia care center people knows very little about hacking, custom firmware and stuff like that.. So unless you don't mess the things up, they'll give you a new nokia mobile or just repair yours when you bring your faulty one..

So my advise is... Just do whatever the experiment (software only) with your unit when it has the warranty... Not after... Because that way you can always make sure that you don't waste your money for your researches... And more over, it's very rare that a phone will be broken when trying a custom firmware or something similar IF and ONLY if you follow the steps exactly as described...

Note: I bought my 5530 without ANY warranty...! But I did so many discoveries with it... I was brave enough to do lots of stuff while being lucky enough not to have troubles accordingly...!
