Hello people,
I've encountered some serious problems with my 5530. The application bar doesn't show on my home screen anymore. If you tap the space were it supposed to be it will be highlighted but no pop up comes up. Also, The dialer and contact buttons on the home screen don't work anymore. I don't know if an update to v30will fix the problem(because i still use the v11 firmware version). Please i need some advice pertaining to this issue.

Corby pro has 3g so, that should be a major factor but If you don't plan to use 3g in near future than 5530 is far better choice.

I'm going to buy a new phone tomorrow. I still can't decide if I want the Nokia 5530 or the Samsung Corby Pro. Grrr!
Samsung Corby Pro:
1. I love the qwerty pad.
2. Bigger screen to look at because of the qwerty pad.
3. Slim and handy.
4. Doesn't have a flash.
4. Slider phone.
5. Too bad the front camera doesn't take photo.
6. Expensive to get fixed.
Nokia 5530:
1. Bigger screen than the Samsung Corby Pro.
2. User friendly.
3. Has a flash while Samsung Corby Pro doesn't.
4. Too bad the front camera doesn't take photo.
5. Cheaper to get fixed.

I just couldn't resist the temptation!i updated my phone's firmware. It's my first tym i updated mine so i've got lots of doubt but i'm super satisfied with the new firmware!!! thanks alot nokia!!!

I heard the the nokia 5800 xpress music sound volume is low , so is the volue me of 5530 is low as 5800 or higher? :) plz answer me

1.It's phone,not a laptop.i use wifi and it least 4 hrs.not so bad such a phone like this.
2.Check your network settings and try to personalize your profile.
3.Check my 2nd opinion.
4.If you turn on alot of app..it should be hang.
5.Depends on your mobile operator network.
6.Check your wifi signal.
7.Not the battery,Battery cover is loose.it's the stylus that move when you shake.Try to use a tape with your phone battery ,so it wont be fall again.

note: personally i use "nokia 5530 xpressmusic"
ive been using this phone for about 6 months now, to be honest with you there are many problems that ive encountered.
1.) battery is bad specially if you use wifi every time.
2.) when there are calls the phone automatically turns off, thats why you wont be answering calls without your earphone plugged. (because of the proximity sensor)
3.) related to number "2" you should use ear phone to answer the call
4.) always hang
5.) turns off & on by itself automatically.
6.) when using the internet and ovi store sometimes the internet closes by itself
7.) loose battery. you can hear your battery moving and when you remove battery cover battery falls easily
but of course there are also good things that i like about this phone:
1.) can watch youtube videos, no need to wait for buffering.
2.) can use wifi anytime anywhere
3.) sound and camera quality absolutely great
4.) many nice and usefull downloadable applications and games from (jetjar & ovi store)
5.) nice design
6.) cheap price
7.) symbian device
soon im planning to buy samsung corby wifi (s3650w/s3653w).

i have found a bug in the latest SW actually.. when i type msgs, the phone wold suddenly erase the message i m typing.. Not quit annoying.. Really annoying. And when i browse the net, and scroll own to navigate webpage, it would keep going down, even whn i put the page up, after releasing touch. It would still keep going down.. And lastly, web pages would suddenly close while web browing. Ang touch response got slower whwn txting.. So annoying.. My little sistee got annoyed too becos when my aino arrives, my 5530 will be givwn to her. So sad :p and another one sometimes, when i use apps like blackboard , i see green lines ang they will suddnly disappear.. Like dead pixels.. hmm.. It will be gone on my hands soon anyway :D
