it seems to me my nokia 5530 xpressmusic is defective coz, the homescreen shortcuts suddnely disappeared
which really buggs me
what may be the problem ?

Hey Nuwan,i am facing a problem on my 5530 on accessing to internet, when connect to internet it shows "connection not available" and "unable to perform operation". I have reset my phone and also had given to the warranty claimers, but still the problem is not solved.

don't know what has happened but it seems my battery suddenly working fantastic. i really can't believe this. i'm getting around 5 days from this battery from one full charge. before i had to charge it nearly every day. i've updated its firmware on 4th april and did not noticed any significant change on it except for its stability. i'm loving it.

i wanna know when might nokia release a new firmware so i can update mine before i hack it...
nuwan and cyber-shot underdog when your phone is hacked is it necessary to uninstall it before you bring it to nokia for firmware update?

Jett, 26 Apr 2010hiya fellas, been quite a while. Nuwan and cyber-shot... morenice dude, nah just stick with original screen protector film, di ka pa magbabayad. . . yes,the s60 browser is known for it's bugginess (except the 3rd edition it's way better)

ahaha just got mine from the Nokia care too. . but people there were very nice (even if I lost my identification card they still gave me the phone) maybe complaining might help. . what was the problem of your phone?

Hi Nuwan my phone is not with me so I can't check the firmware however i m in mumbai and I must say the nokia care in my location the person I was talking was rude and when asked for the complaints procedure no answer when spoke to nokia some bangalore number 0803038080 i think was the number its there on job sheet...but when spoke to nokia care they started being technical and talking as if the phone is in front of him and just asked that when a software fault why was my phone opened and he started giving all jazz which i was not convenced with...i agree with cybershot that se are best phones and even the care...

I'm ok now bro,just after i send my post last friday night when i'm on my way home,i opened up my music player and suddenly it refreshed automatically.At first i saw that it says 0 songs on the background,i waited for about 5 secs and then suddenly counting, so i waited to finish the full refresh and walla....success,all those files that i loaded previously were added.now, back to normal again.
I don't know what to call this but i just called it weird things.
Last night i went to a nokia shop to buy N5530 but unlucky bcoz out of stock this unit,so i'll try again after a week.
Thanks to Pareng cyber_shot also,it's ok now pare.

hiya fellas,
been quite a while.
Nuwan and cyber-shot underdog, i am so happy to announce that im having my first touch phone few days from now. :D , yes! at long last...
sure im gonna need your help to make my smart phone to a wow smart phone haha...
most of my friends now are switching to touch phones and im really excited to surprise them with the beauty and coolness of 5530 and with what 3rd party software apps can do...
im choosing red in black
and things i need to remember is that version should be V20 right?
country where it is made from is not big issue at all right?
if you have any advice please let me know.
oh and by the way, pare nuwan you use your phone to surf the net right. meaning you post comments here through it as well, what's your net browser?
-cyber-shot how about you what's your browser and are there any problems you experience using it?
another brother, since we're both from the phils do you think plastic screen protector from cd-r king is fine?

I'm afraid you'll not be able to close your 5530 back cover when you insert the 5800 battery in it... And it will not exactly fit either... So you'll have to use piece of paper to stop wobbling the battery here and there... And you'll have to bind the back cover to the phone because 5800 battery is thicker than 5530 battery...!
However it works if you're OK with above...! (I don't think anybody would want to make this beauty ugly just for extra 320 mAh...!)
