Oops... I'm sorry brother... As you're a known person than me, I have to accept with what you said... (However I've told, in spite of whether you've followed the instructions carefully, yet there's a probability your phone won't work.. and that's unfortunate...)

Now I'm also beginning to worry... Because I always did firmware updates without any worrying... But if someone like you (who's probably better known than me..) says even if you follow the instructions there's a chance you to screw the things up... Then now I'm in dilemma whether I'll go on with the firmware update of next release...! Because I really like the way it is, my mobile at the moment and I really don't want to screw the things up...

Thanks anyway... (I didn't mean to insult you brother... I'm extremely sorry if it sounded that way...)

Just now I saw your second post... That means you've not successfully installed it... Error messages appear right..?
I guess your phone is not hacked...!
You will have to hack your mobile first.. brother...
After that apply the Rom patches and then you can install the above application without any problem...
Without hacking your phone, you will not get so much this mobile is capable of...

It's very strange why you can't see the particular icon... It's an orange colored icon with the name 'FlipFont'...
Are you sure you installed it correctly...?
Is your mobile hacked or you just installed a signed copy...?
Mine did work without any problem so I don't know what's wrong with your installation...
Go to the installed applications and see whether the installed applications list has this particular application or not.. If it has 'FlipFont' then uninstall it and re-install it again...
That's the only way I can suggest you...

Honestly speaking I don't know anything about Nokia inside... There may be or there may not be such an upcoming phone... But I can say it's unlikely such a mobile will come as soon as we suppose... Because Nokia is not releasing mobiles usually... It takes a while to jump from one mobile to another.. May be 2-3 months even... We all know, when it comes to brands like Samsung, they release even 2-3 mobiles per one month... But for Nokia it's very unlikely...

So, I don't think waiting for such a dream phone is a good idea... If you still like 5530 without GPS & 3G you better go with it.. Otherwise you can get Nokia X6 or just 5800 which have all you need...

when i recieve a message the display is not lightning!!!
When i recieve a call it is lightning and showing the info like whu is calling..but not showing any info while receiving a message!! Please Help me out!

Dear nuwan, really i like dis fone too much,, but the only thing that it lakes 3g and gps ,, do u think nokia will come with new 5530 style fone but with the gps, coz we can wait for this fone which willl has the 5530 style and gps,. urgent reply,

We... moreI feel insulted when people say that 'you didn't follow the instruction while updating that's why your phone got screwed'.. Coz first of all there aint any 'must be followed' instructions or procedure for this..while updating the updater just dowloads the rom package and turns the off the phone and then into a rom updating mode(basically same as installing os in a pc), so no role is played by the any app installed on the phone...if you think the app installed on the mmc may be screws it up but updating rom with software updater is like swiping the rom ie phone memory and writing new one, if app on mmc should play any role then our phone should be damaged in the same way everytime a hard reset is done ..so i can garrenty that if your phone is damaged while updating via updater then it's not your fault, it's either the handset or the updater with flaw....

I did a hard reset before updating and took out the mem card before updating, i downloaded at 120kbps and my pc is well protected with norton 360, still my phone didn't turn on at all!!

Well.. I can suggest you www.dotsis.com because that's the best website for mobile applications which I've ever experienced so far... (It has both free & cracked applications) You're required to register first.. (It's totally free...)
www.mobile9.com is another great website for mobile applications
www.ovi.com is from Nokia itself however most of the application are not just for free...

Regarding your firmware update fear,
Actually it's true if 100 people do that at least 5 people screw the thing... That's mainly because their own problems like not following the instructions properly etc... However there could be very few instances where even after following all the instructions properly the update procedure get screwed... (That's unfortunate and Very rare too...)

So my advise is still go with the firmware update... Because if you read the manual carefully and follow the steps carefully... Then there will not be any problem at all... (Because so far I've updated few mobiles by myself and nothing went wrong...) Please keep in mind following facts...

1) Make sure your contacts and other private data are backed up properly (They will be remained after the update, but I recommend you to save them just in case of a trouble..)
2) Make sure your mobile has full battery
3) Make sure your internet connection is reliable and fast enough...
4) Make sure your mobile has enough phone memory...
5) It is STRONGLY advisable that you hard reset your mobile before the firmware update...
6) It's advisable that you remove your memory card during the firmware update
7) If you're using your computer for the firmware update procedure then, make sure USB cable is connected properly and reliably..
8) It's very important that you don't interfere the procedure... It'll take time and will do everything automatically... So DO NOT INTERFERE that... Let the whole thing to be completed and be patient until then...

If you still think you don't want to risk it, OK... I guess you have the warranty still.. go to the nearest Nokia care center and they will probably do the update for you..

Please describe your question more clearly...
What is the browser you're using for internet surfing...? If it's the default browser then I suppose the chatting keyboard is the default system keyboard... There you'll see a button at the top of the screen which will give you few options like 'Insert symbol' etc... The second option is 'Inactive or active predictive text'. You may inactive that and I think your problem will be over...
