I had this phone for about a week now. And its very good. I would personally surrender the 3g capability for WiFi. Compared to the Samsung Star WiFi and other phones, the screen resolution is so greet!!!
Excellent phone for its price, it is durable and fast too. Thumbs up Nokia, you're the best.

I buy this one.It is really better thn 5800.Good sound,camera & stylish.Battery is little bit poor but it has no hanging problem,no memory corrupt as 5800.It is really worth to buy this one if your want is only camera,style,sound.Not for battery.

xplit, 19 Feb 2010after hard reset it works fine but i can't update firmware ... moreYeah updating via nsu is risky. Mine also didnt start, so i got it exchanged.
You can take it to nokia care, they'll update the firmware free of cost for a device with warranty. But the update should have been available to all product codes by now, i don't understand why nokia is delaying the update release.

For hard res... moreafter hard reset it works fine but i can't update firmware from phone. updating from NSU is risky cause my other 2 frens done that and after updating their phone didn't switch on at all.

Hei... I don't know much about other Made in China phones.. But Made in China Nokia mobiles are as great as any other country made Nokia... Because it's from Nokia factories regardless of the fact they are from China... (I'm pretty sure Nokia maintains its high quality control in all their factories of all over the world...) On the other hand, why Nokia would ever want to reduce the made quality of a Nokia phone just because it's from Nokia china factory...? It's ridiculous...!
BUT... there are so many counterfeit Nokia products are made in China and Hongkong... They are very real as genuine Nokia and from outer look some of them can't be even identified by an expert of Nokia... So be aware of those...
For an example, there is a company in china called "NOKLA" and they have that trade name too... There's a huge factory in china under above name... And thousands of Nokia like mobile products are produced each and every day in that factory... And the very similar name "NOKLA" make most of people get caught for them... And you know how they right their product name...? It's written as NOKlA"... Did you get the difference...? No... Right..? OK... Look at the 4th letter... It's 'Simple L' not I... In that way they still write 'NOKLA' but in a different way which people get caught... Clever right...?
I've seen a counterfeit N95 and it really looks like Genuine Nokia N95.. The Outer look is just as original one... But the inside menu's and programs are bit different... But you should be aware of original Nokia in order to identify those differences... And also the sliding works perfectly... One very easy way to identify the counterfeit Nokia is to check the camera quality... And checking the start up sound... Anyway, we never know.. If they could produce that much good duplicates, they will overcome above weaknesses as well...!
The most common and popular Nokia counterfeits are N95 and 5800... In Sri Lanka I've seen many of those in shops... They're no where near genuine Nokia... (Quality wise as well as functionality wise) But still people get caught.. (Due to the exact look and very cheap prices...) But most of the sellers are honestly saying that those are not originals.. But still there's a market for them...
But don't compare those counterfeits with genuine China made Nokias... Because they are as good as any other country made Nokias and there's no doubt about it...

As for the charging times of 5530, it would only take about 2 hours to fully charge it, but if you have a fast charger, it would only take an hour and a half or less. :)
