5530 is very good fone to own,the only prob is the fm radio is hardly heard even when turned up full volume,and its not me going deaf either.

This is a grate designed phone but why released this phone in market be coz it has no 3G connection??????????? NOKIA must resized 5533XM 2ND version with 3G option & Carl Zeiss optics lance with 3.2MP & GPS Supported.

I have tried two sets of 5530 with BSNL sim. But these two showed same result- the clock time changed whenever you off and again on it. As it was tried in a NPD the setting was ok i.e. auto update was off, GMT set at +5.30. I dont know why? Then I dont buy it.

Hei... You don't have to press harder man... This touch screen mobile is so sensitive and you only have to press a tiny bit... that's all... (Don't break the phone by pressing too hard..!)
But on the other hand it's not that sensitive as Apple iphone if you want to compare the touch screen.. Iphone has 'capacitive touch screen' which doesn't require any pressure while Nokia 5530 has 'resistive touch screen' which require a tiny little press to response...
That's all... See by your self... (I had never used a touch screen before I bought this one, so first most days I was really in trouble because the touch sensitivity was too much...! I always had to take care of accidental finger taps...)

Any Nokia mobile has the plastic cover on top of its original screen... And it also has a protective sticker... So 5530 is the same...
BUT... That doesn't say you can use it without care just because you can replace the cover so easily... Yeah.. You can replace the cover, but as you can see, 5530 has that cover attached to it's casing... So you'll have to replace all the casing in order to have a new cover screen... That's of course costly...!
So, my advice is 'Keep the Protective Sticker' as long as possible... But I also have to admit that the original Protective sticker of 5530 isn't so good... It easily get scratches on it so you better replace it with another sticker that you can purchase even from ebay... It's very cheap... (You can get 4 stickers for about 8 US Dollars... That mean one sticker costs only 2 US Dollars...)
These stickers don't last very long.. But I guess you can use one at least 4 months without any problem...
So my recommendation is, buy protective stickers and apply them on top of the screen cover... You don't need any additional plastic cover what so ever... (it's so ugly too... Don't insult this beauty by putting it in ugly plastic containers...!)
Please note that the screen of the Nokia 5530 is not scratch resistive like Apple iphone... So don't use it without protective stickers on it... That's an advice...

I just tried the application 'Landscape v1.0' (Thanks to your help...) and yes, it's a great application... (But of course you need your phone to be hacked before the installation... Otherwise it'll give the certificate error...)
This is something I was looking for... And of course it rotates very fast.. I thought it'll show some lag like rotating the main menu... But it doesn't...
However I don't like Nokia's accelerometer sensor much because it doesn't react fast... Takes a while to respond so that we've got to wait... (This application works for the home screen just fine though...)
Anyway as this is only Version 1.0, there may be other versions on the way... Because as I could see, still there are things to be done... Things like 'Squeezed dialer and contacts buttons', 'The black square on the right top of the screen', 'Small time indicator' should be improved...
