For 5800 also that me... morenuwan, did u try the app to rotate ur homescreen? really exciting app.. if u want, go through my prev post n try it... it helps u to rotate all d ui screen of ph... like dialer.. homescreen, calling screen.. its just a application sized less dan 15 kb.. its a full version available.. n its not landscape pro too. its a different app. just google for ''landscape v1.0 mobile9'' then click d first link.. u dont need to sign in even.. try it, n post ur reviews.. rememner that the app wont see in application menu, but it will be hidden n start to work after installing and restarting ur phone... u dont need to do any settings even.. i recommend it for everyone.. try it

Well so far I love the 5530, very impressed with the music quality, call quality so far is fine, battery isn't as bad as people say, thought connecting with computer does drain it quite fast. Right now only problems i have are that i have to use the scroll bar in the applications menu cause i can't "flick" my way through the menu, though i can do that when looking through contacts or music files.
Second thing is getting a movie on the phone takes along time, how come on OVI there is no video integration, you have to install videos through pictures, and damn it takes along time.

According to your requirement you rather not go 5530 I guess... Because I have to admit that the call sound volume in this mobile is bit low compared to other Nokia mobiles... (In noisy environment you must put your head phone in order to make the conversation clear...)
But loud speakers and Music sound quality is PERFECT...! However it seems that those are not the high concerns of you...
Camera quality is not so good but not that bad too... (Almost same as 5800) But I don't know about SE T715..
Actually for long phone conversations you better use head phones (that's what I do) with 5530... If you don't mind that, then go for 5530 because other than above weaknesses there are plenty of great things about it... Sexy design, Perfect Music Quality, Plenty of 3rd party software, Sensitive touch screen, Cool interface with kinetic scrolling etc...
What is this 'China made' fuss all about...? My 5530 is 'Made in Hungary' and it's performing like a charm... No complaints what so ever... On the other hand, even if it's made in China I wouldn't mind as it is from Nokia itself... (I suppose Nokia maintains the same quality in all the Nokia Factories all over the world...)
If you still think 'Made in China' Nokia is not so good... I would like to ask 'Why does Nokia company do something like that...?' I don't think Nokia is that stupid...!

Oops...! Sorry... For 5800 also that method only works for firmware upgrade version 20 or later... I guessed it's the same for 5530 as well... (But to be honest I didn't check personally...)

amoled screen of samsung jet is best with 800mhz processor.. it keeps you going!

fredd, 16 Feb 2010can someone tell me which us better nokia 5800xm and nokia ... moreFredd you defently go for the 5530xm i have it for 3 months now and works perfectly. you will not regret it. the design is very very nice, especially the blue/white version which i also have. the features are very good, the camera is good and the music sound so loud and clear, you can also download great applications from ovi stores that are very usefull. you all gooooooo for the 5530xm beleive is a great phone!

hey i jst got this set today . really happy :) . nut i need to ask sm thing !!! as this is my first touch mobile moreover i jst wanted to ask do i need to cover my screen wid sm plastic or not???? seems like it has already got one ??? *#7370# is the only apparent method so far for a phone memory clean up, not a true format i guess.
And *#7780# is the code for soft reset, you gave wrong code to the other guy.

i need a phone wid good sound quality(during call) as i ve faced problems wid n70 wid wich i couldnt take d call widout headphones especially if d call is out of india.other features i want r d good camera clarity and music clarity.earlier i wanted 2 buy sony ericsson T715.as i liked its body.but then i heard it doesnt ve good cam clarity.SO IM CONFUESD WICH 1 2 BUY OF 3 OF THEM:

guys fantastic application to rotate your homescreen.. its true.. google for 'landscape v1.0 mobile9' then click the first link, simply download that signed application, then install it.. then restart ur ph.. then u can see magic.!! LANDSCAPE HOMESCREEN also potrait.. simply turn ur ph left... everyone will love it.. plz post ur comments... cheeeers!!!!

I'm sorry for your trouble... As the other posts say, it can either be a bug of Nokia itself or a virus... What ever it is, the final solution that you can perform is a hard reset... (If soft reset wouldn't work..)
But as the key pad doesn't respond to the soft reset code, it won't respond to the hard reset code also...
Here is the code if you want to try that too...
*#7370# (Default Security code 12345)
But never forget to back up your data using Nokia PC suite in your computer... The backing up procedure has been described in my previous post... (Even thought it's a virus, when you connect your mobile to the Computer, it should work at least for PC Suite I hope...)
If above code doesn't work, then there's this last option...
1) Do a back up first..
2) Shut down the mobile by pressing the power key...
3) Give it 5 minutes to cool down and press the power button again to power it on
4) Press 'Green', 'Red' buttons together with 'Camera' button (all at once) on power up...
5) Provide the security code
6) Let the phone to do the rest (DO NOT INTERRUPT...!)
This is very important... You should never interrupt the mobile while hard reset is processing... Please wait for 20 minutes... Then you're done... Your 5530 will be back to it's original status if everything works just fine...
If that even doesn't work, all you have to do is go to a Nokia care center and ask for a replace...!
