Can you set a full screen wallpaper on this cellphone? Is there a way to turn off the contacts bar and other widgets on the main screen so that you have a clean view of the wallpaper?
I have a Nokia 6681 and N73ME,both dont allow full screen wallpapers.

I also had a clue that it does...
Today I installed "LCG Jukebox" (an excellent music player) and it has a widget (when I minimize it) which appears on the home screen... I can even drag and move that widget...! Sooooo cool... So I'm sure this phone does support home screen widgets...

Rs. 29,500.00.. Hmmm... It should be with warranty.. Right...?
However for you to know, I bought my mobile (made in hungary) for 27,000 (brand new full set) but without any warranty... And it's not from a Shop.. It's from a person who import and sells mobiles..(Individually) But if you're buying it from a shop with warranty, it's safer... (I personally trust Nokia's reliability so I really don't care whether it has warranty or not...!)
Did you search in wow classified adds...? Because before buying a mobile, I strongly suggest you to have a look at that site as well... You'll have a definite idea about prices and all...
Once I saw a used 5530 (life timer is only 5 hours) for just 23,000...
Not only used mobiles, there you will see brand new ones as well..
And my second advice is buy a "Sunday times" this week and have a look at "hitad"... There you'll see the cheapest prices for mobile phones... (Once I saw an add in "hitad" of a shop with this mobile for 28,000 with warranty. I didn't want to buy it as it was made by Nokia.)
But don't get me wrong.. Made in Hungary or made by Nokia should be same... Actually they are identical though some people think they're not... I wanted to buy Hungarian one because even if I want to sell my mobile in future I'll not face any trouble of selling it... (Because people like to have Hungarian or finland phones rather than just made by Nokia ones...! Even I do...!)
After looking in Wow classified and Sunday Times hitadd, if you still think 29,000 is the better choice, then you're good to go my brother...!

The weakness is no 3G but does 5530 XM have shake control??

luisito, 11 Jan 2010 what do you think about this......; today I installed hell... moreOnc@ you have installed hellox, go to application folder , there you can see "rom patcher", open it.,go to option > all patches > apply . Now only hacking is complete.
Now try installing the applications.
I hope this solves your problem with hacking.

go with nokia, samsung sux, u buy thier phone and if u have problems with it, they will nvr help u out, in other words NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!

Which is better?
Nokia 5530 XM, or
Samsung S5233w Star Wifi.
i need a touchscreen+wifi phone..
both of them has it..
if i had to choose, what do you recommend?

Nuwan, 11 Jan 2010Dear Luisito, Thanks for your tip regarding closing appl... more what do you think about this......; today I installed hello ox2 and installed 3 apps that my phone rejected by certificate before,, thanx, and hacking was complete, the procedure with the other software for n95 was more complicated :s but now I have to sign one by one (in a weppage-) the apps cause dont know if helloox2, but I tried to update software and the same:( said theres no actualization for me same 10.0 damn mobile companies... now Im concentrated on this now can you guve me an advise..
