Hello all.
To whom who know about MMS, I wanted to know, it is possible to download a MMS using the WIFI connection, or you'll still need the GPRS to make it work since 5530 doesn't have 3G onboard. This question is just for my and everyone else who wondered about it. I'll still buy it next month tho. ;)

Thank you in advance.

P.s Anyone know where can I get a hard-silicon-case for 5530 in Shah Alam - KL (Malaysia) area?

Nikko, 23 Dec 2009@Nuwan - About the Opera Mobile 10 Beta 2, how can i set it... more
                Dear Nikko,

                You're welcome brother...

Regarding your problem about GPRS connectivity... I think following will be helpful.

Go to settings then Connectivity - Destinations

In Internet see how many Access points are defined...
Probably for you there will be 2 or more. (One of them is for GPRS)
If you don't want GPRS anymore... Just Delete that access point from your phone right away...
Or else, if you want to keep it in case of an urgency, but you'll always use wifi (WLAN) the set the priority to WLAN Connection and give GPRS a lower priority...

I think Opera mobile searches for the priority connection and simply use that... If you set WLAN to be the 1st in priority list, Opera should use that accordingly...

For me, I have deleted all the other access points (GPRS, WAP etc..) and kept my Wifi connection only... Because I don't want to have a surprise bill at the end of the month... (I get wifi for free at my office and that connection is really fast)

Hope this will help... Good luck brother...

TJ, 23 Dec 2009Hey Nuwan, Got a few questions: I've read in several re... more
                  Dear TJ,

About direct sunlight problem... I don't have any solution for that and I doubt whether anybody has one.

I'm from a tropical country (Sri Lanka) where the sun is directly above us, I do face trouble when I look at my phone's screen under that sun light..

Believe me... I can't see anything...!

                  I try followings..

                  1) Cover the screen from direct sun light using my hand and read the screen
                  2) Go to a shelter (probably a tree) and read

This may disappoint you a lot.. But I'm telling the truth... This screen is worse in direct sun light...

However just keep in mind, there are lots of Nokia phones having this same problem... So if you try another Nokia instead of this, just ensure whether it's good in day light...

Also keep in mind... At darker places and specially at night... (Low light conditions) the phones screen is very very beautiful and colorful... You'll be amazed by the resolution and all...

As for your second question about touchscreen sensitivity...
To be honest I personally did not experience 5800 a lot in order to compare the touch screen... But all the reviews about these two phones clearly states that the touch screen sensitivity has been greatly improved... All of them can't be wrong... Right...?

Besides one of my frieds who used 5800 once reviewed on my 5530 and confirmed that... (Exactly what he said was "This is amazing... I feel a big difference in touch response...")

If you still want to think "all the professional reviews and user reviews are wrong..." that's up to you friend...

For me... I love this phone and surely will use it for a long time... (Until someone steals it from me...!)

                  Good luck brother...

                          Hey Nuwan,

                          Got a few questions:
I've read in several reviews that when under direct sunlight or under intense light, the user can barely see the screen. How did you go about solving that problem?
Also, I'm just wondering if the 5530's touchscreen more sensitive than the 5800.

                          Thanks bro!
