Apart from normal usage of phone,I am always connected on Fring and Nokia messaging and I charge it once in 3 days.If your battery charge is not staying that long, then there is some problem with it.

                      Dear Friends,

I have installed the following software in my phone. As this is a symbian phone I really don't think we should be satisfactory with the default software because we've got plenty of better alternatives. Specially when they are given for free, there's no use of waiting.

As we shared everything with each other (as we'll always be) I though it would be great if I could make a list of those I've personally experienced and could guarantee you for the satisfaction. (All of the below software are absolutely free, so it's good that we share them as much as possible. Am I right...?)

                      1) Quick Office (Free for viewing, if you want to edit office files you'll have to buy the full version. However who can edit office files in this small screnn...?)

                      2) Opera Mobile 10 Beta 2 (Very good than the default web browser)

                      3) Y-Browser (Very good file browser better than the default one With BT & Zip plugins)

                      4) Nimbuzz (Very good chat, messaging client for skype, gmail, facebook, yahoo messanger etc...)

                      5) Photo browser (Very cool image viewing software)

                      6) Youtube (Direct youtube video player)

                      7) Google maps (better than the Nokia maps)

                      8) Bright light (Use the phone as a torch)

                      9) Paint pad (Touch screen drawing tool)

                      10) Photoflow (Another cool image viewing software)

                      11) Elements (Program for periodic table elements)

                      12) Solitaire (Game)

                      13) Sudokumaster (Game)

You can download all of the above by searching in google for few minutes... But be careful only to visit reputed websites... There may be websites which include lot of garbage that can be even harmful to your mobile. (Of course software based harms)

Try to download them from their original sources... That will greatly decrease your risk of getting garbage.

One thing.. you don't have to hack your phone or do anything special to install above... I installed them before I hacked my phone and they worked just fine...

I don't recommend you to hack your phone if you're not sure what you're doing...

                      Good luck...
Please share your experience with everybody...

                            Dear Friends,

This reply for the all of those who have problems with initial charging of a New phone...

About Lithium Iron batteries there are so many matters are going on regarding the initial charge. (How to charge, is there any specific procedure etc.)

But it's very strange Nokia doesn't mention about such an initial charging procedure at all. In the manual there are two sections about the battery but none of these don't mentioned about an initial charging.

However I found following paragraph from a google search and thought it'll be helpful.

"You should fully charge your new battery before using it. Today's Lithium batteries represent the latest technology and provide the best overall performance over their useful lifespan. To test a new battery and help ensure optimal performance, we recommend an initial "conditioning" procedure for all new batteries. For the first 3 charge cycles, fully charge the battery and then allow it to nearly fully discharge before fully charging it again. This initial "conditioning" of the battery will help ensure a true "full charge" during the first few charge cycles, ensure the full cell capacity of the battery is being utilized, and condition the battery for optimal performance."

                            URL - http://www.cellpower.com/FAQs.cfm

However I can't guarantee about their advices because I myself did not follow any of those... I was in a hurry to use the phone so I couldn't do this so called initial full charging thing.

Now my battery lasts 1.5 days to 2 days. (With average usage) I don't know it would have been better if I followed that procedure...!

And one more thing... Nokia also says the battery is only partially charged in the factory so before using the phone, just charge it again. Also it says "Charge the phone if it indicates the low battery". It's pretty obvious Nokia doesn't suggest any kind of a full charging procedure here...

May be searching in Nokia forums would be helpful.

Update us if you found something important which you think you should share with all of us...

                            Good luck...

                                  Dear harbas94,

Though the language you used was not that polite, I understand it's not my problem.

But I appreciate your information and I immediately checked whether I was wrong...

And it came, You are right friend... And I was wrong..

The speakers are situated on top of the phone (2 long tiny holes) and bottom of the phone (same as top.. 2 long tiny holes) But as these are positioned on the top and bottom sides of the phone it's not that easy to recognize them...

I'm so sorry if anybody gets confused about my information...

And all the thanks go to our impolite friend "harbas94".

                                  Thanks a lot mate...

At least its better looking than the 5800, that just looks like a dogs dinner with the ports etc on the top of the phone making it look cheap and nasty.

Now if only the battery life was better on the 5530 it would make a huge difference and probably get a few more sales in the bag.
