here's my answer..
bring your phone to nokia care center and have a firmware update.
that simple.
you mentioned that '.I have never done more than just take pics,listen to music,txt msg,calls & record audio with this cell'
i think that 5530 got bored with the owner, come on, your phone has so many potential dont get stuck with your so called 'my boring routine with my phone'
if you want i can give you apps, just get your phone fixed first.

you know what, if you browse down a little more you will see that you're question was answered hundred times..
so here you go...
it really doesn't matter anymore whether this phone is made here or there.
as long as you bought form nokia registered dealer it under went to the same quality procedure and check. ok?
most of the time, units from hungary and finland are more expensive
simple explanation..because parts and labor there are more expensive too.
if you try to look around almost most brands now have sales and manufacturing in china(for example) because this country is progressive, market there is cheap, labor is cheap, so the out come, cheaper items for sale but bearing the name 'nokia' it holds the same process and quality check. correct??
so go for it buddy.. if you take good care of your phone you dont need a warranty, it's only for careless people.

first thing to do, use the same charger with other compatible phone (this way you'll know if the charger is well)
second, replace the battery with another battery if you have a spare(this way you'll know if the problem is with the battery) if it doesn't work place your original battery to another phone and connect the charger if it works the problem is with the phone.
best advice is for you to bring the phone in nokia service center. they'll fix it for you, this concerns electricity so do not put your self at risk.

but if you want to be more sure
*take your mc and connect to you computer
*go to icon and right click/mouse 2
from there you'll know what to do.
and remember my advice do not replace your old files..

buddy,
i thought i had provided you the details but i think you over looked it.
so i will try to explain again.
when it comes to reset or format thing, what you do in your phone must be done in you mem.card as well.
and vice versa.
so if you format your phone you should also format you mc and try as much as possible to not keep the old files as they may damage again your phone..

which browser are you using?
you know there are some browser that have some restrictions, stuffs that cannot be handle like java/palying videos in you tube, or uploading pictures or even viewing photos in some websites. or in some instance if you have a low connection in the net.
sometimes you cannot even open the website it self. so the browser crashes.
im sorry my friend but you have to understand that there are limits in using a handphone...
so, i must say this is normal..

I want to buy nokia 5530. But I am confused in some point. I have no doubt about the quality of this phone, perhaps it’s the best phone within the price.
But in my country, if you go to “Nokia Centre” (a place where you can buy from original nokia dealer with one year guarantee) to buy a phone, you will find that your phone is ‘Made by Nokia’; not ‘Made in Hungary or Finland’. Everyone says that nokia phones of Hungary or Finland are much better than ‘Made by Nokia’.
Nokia phones of Hungary or Finland are available in local shops though they don’t provide any guarantee. Only Plus point is that still you can go to Nokia Service Centre for servicing.
What should I do? Please advise me! Giving a lot of thanks in advance!!
