I am having big problems with my nokia 5700 as when i put an orange, vodafone, O2 and t-mobile sim card in, it says 'Sim card Registration Failed' but when i put a virgin sim card in, it says the network is T-mobile and i still cant make or recieve calls even though i have got signal, so i have to keep it in offline mode all the time.
Can any1 help me with this at all??? ive discovered that people with the Nokia N95 that this has occured as well...PLzzz

umm, i have encountered another problem on nokia 5700 recently. when normally, you want to download a new theme or receive them via bluetooth, it surely goes to inbox. but when you try to apply the new theme, it cant unlock the message, says that file is not supported. why? can anybody anser? plz..

Those posts complaining about the phone may be true, but that can´t mean this phone is bad. It´s a pretty good phone and those problems could be because their 5700 were faulty. Mine is like new after more than 2 months.
The headphones have rubbers like the SE ones so they cancel most of the outside noise. About the casing, you can interchange it but you´ll need some tools (included in the package of some casings)or take your phone to a repair shop to do the casing change.

Yep, but ye lets rather wait for NOKIA to make it official,for them to keep the true CPU speed secret like this it must be quite a step ahead from the other Nseries phones.

it is confirm that nokia has stop producing 5700 it is only available till the stock lasts.It will be very good for 5700 lovers to wait till 3rd April,before this nokia will announce its successor,SURELY

if you want to completely format your phone.
then do this.
switch off the phone then
while keeping '*', '3' and call button ie 'green' button pressed, switch on the phone. keep those buttons pressed until the phone is completed started.
Once formatted it will ask for to set the time and zone.

because this phone have many major problems like lock code ,camera doesnt works when u twist the phone ,it restarts randomly, some times callers can,t hear ur voice while calling .. so i think nokia going to stop 5700 production

Ya i have written wrong, ya i am rotating it in the way you explained but its not working
90 anti clock - no action
90 clock - opens music player and when again rotated 90 it remains in music player and when antirotated 180 from this position it opens camera.
and after this keypad stops functioning.
can anyone help.

How did you do that. 270 degree is not possible in 5700, have u broken it.
it performs
90 clock - self camera(video call etc)
180 clock - Music player
90 anti clock - front camera
thats it. you can't go beyond this unless the set is broken

i wanna ask few questions about this handset b4 i buy it
1) is the volume of the earphones high enough in the crowded areas so it can cover the noise
2) can i change the cover later ( if i bought the black & white can i change it with the red one )
