5700 should be able to support QVGA @ 30FPS with a bit rate of about 700kbps,my N81 can,you should use CorePlayer to play high quality videos, since the RealPlayer aint that useful.

The j0ystick make me sick..
especially when played a game that need j0ystick carefully..
But,i l0ve this ph0ne,i've installed 112 games and it's still fast !
No need 3,2Mp of N73,it's just eat y0ur mem0ry..What i need is the fast pR0cess0r like in 5700 !!
Oyeah,d0es anyb0dy here have Quickoffice v5.0?

high everybody, just got 5700 from nokia priority centre(CALCUTTA,INDIA). it is made in china. version3.83.1...downloading of java or symbian softwares through gprs/edge is very slow, often incomplete. after downloading gmail(159kb) cannot install it but network connection is ok,working fine with sony ericsson k310i...and lastly, after downloading yahoo go 2.0 cannot run it, and cannot delete it anyway,not even using pc suite. CAN ANYBODY PLEASE HELP?

I use the 3-files packgae installation of the irRemote, modified by BiNPDA.....but in order to use that, you must have your certificate and key file for your phone....I have mine because I am a Signer at Noeman GSM...if you already don't have your certificate then I'm afraid you won't be able to use this app, as well as any other unsigned apps, because nowadays you must buy a Publisher-ID to get your certificate, which costs a whooping $200....
For viewing clips and movies I use the Real Player, Smartmovie and Divx Player....I don't use CorePlayer because I find the interface to be really awkward....

I haven´t the crack code but about the mp4 player this phone does have one. The only restriction is that it only can play up to 240*320 videos @15fps or 176*144 videos @30fps but in the last option the videos are too small. This phone is great buddy you won´t regret it

ya i have read your opinion that you are facing a problem with replying sms. bro i havnt yet got any kind of problem like that. you know after upgrading my software version to 3.83 my mobile is performing like its rocking. wow what a nice phone it is. sorry bro that cudnt help you but watching you after long time i cudnt make my self to stop from replying you

Plz follow this and get ur firmware updated. its really easy!!
To update to latest firmware.
Download - Nemesis Servise Suite or NSS ( Google for it)
Download - Nokia PC Suite (From Nokia Website)
Download - Nokia Software Updater (From Nokia Website)
1)Now connect your handset via usb, open the NSS software scan your phone.
2)Goto phone info tab, towards right side there is "Production Data Edit".
3)Below that there is "Read" option click it.
4)Now tick and turn "Product code enable"
5)Write down your original product code for backup.
6)Enter this code "0544847" this is EURO1
7)Click Write
8)Now you may close NSS.
Install PC suite and nokia software updater
Warning : Before you update make sure you have stable internet connection. Power backup. Updating will take some time depending upon your connection speed.
and yes please do not remove the cable in between and follow on screen instructions carefully.
9)Open NSU (Nokia Software Updater), it will scan for your phone.
10)If everything goes well it will tell you that 3.83.1 is available.
11)Click next and the flashing begins.
After succesful flasing you may revert back to your old product code by following steps 1-8 only this time use your backup product code in step 6.
NOTE: Flash your handset at your own risk. I take no liability what so ever. This is the way i updated my 5700.

please help
sometimes when i get sms and want to reply it it does not type alphabets and then i have to swicth it off can anyone help me but after restarting all wents back but it shows that memory card corrupted and i hav to remove memory cardand then again have to put it back then all works fine???

It's better to u to choose 5610 or 5700!
N73me is a stupid sl0w and the "king of hang"ph0ne...And the s0und quality isn't a g0od 0ne..
I have c0mpare n73 me with n0kia 6630, using nokia ad-46 and n0kia hs-20 earph0ne...
6630's s0und quality is better 0ne...
But i think 5700 is a g00d 0ne coz it's a symbian ph0ne...

To the people that can´t make the video call function to work:
In Mexico where the 3g frequency 2100mhz (the one of this phone) is not supported the 5700s that are sent desn´t have the option for video call. It only could be donde if the 850mhz band where available for this phone. But instead of that Nokia disabled the video call function because the different frequence of my 5700 in 3g frequence. That happened too to the N73 and n76 sold in Mexico (with 2100mhz band). So maybe in China or the country where you live the 2100mhz band isn´t suported so your cell phone provider could disabled the video call.
To aditya or anyone with firmware v.3.83:
Is there any way to put that firmware to my 55700 without take it to a Nokia care center??

the 4.21 firmware audio distortion i think is caused by the increase of 4.21's firmware volume beyond the phone's volume capacity.
i think it can be resolved by lowering the level of the equalizer.
4.21 users can you recommend good equalizer settings to resolved the distortion?

To all users of the Awesme Nokia 5700 I have tried the Bass Booster Equalizer setting of Nokia N81 on my 5700 version 3.83.1 and the sound i am getting is simply flawless with good bass all around. I would like to request all the users of this phone to go and have a try at this setting and listen to the music. do let me know if u cn c d difference. the bass booster equalizer setting can be found in the Nokia N81 review by GSMArena.

yes it have mp4 player, there is no real one player. It plays mp4 through real player & that works ok. you can use other player for better viewing.

or else one can opt for intermediate 3.83, which is quite stable & do not have any music flaw. Can you kindly explain more abt music distortion in version 4.27.

hi, i need someone's help. i brought my 5700 in china. the problem is i can not use the video call. and i do not know it is capable of 3G. i checked the english manual and it says 5700 is a 3G phone. how can i enable the video call function? can anyone help me? truly appreciate it! thanks everyone!
