Hello.

As for firmware version 4.21, i'm not so sure. but the others may prove it since some other users in this forum mentioned that they had their 5700s firmware updated. Mine's v.3.83.

Now about youtube, yes, youtube videos play seamlessly. What I do is I go to nokia's mobile-based webpage and there's a link there for 'youtube for mobile'. When videos are played, they don't lag and the quality is acceptable and somehow par with the way they're viewed in a pc.

For some videos I wanted to download to my mobile, I visit zamzar.com to convert .flv files to .mp4 files. Just copy and paste the url and select your preferred video file type, be it mp4, wmv, avi, etc.

Hope that helps a little.

          No need for your info,coz firstly taht is posted by another member here.

          its not good coz your camera will stay on when flash lights is on and killing the fone battery .and after some seconds the camera goes to standby and flash will be off.

          So i not try Ntourch but i think it will be good.

              @luis

              yah, i also saw the blue casing that was being sold on ebay. i looked for a way for me to open the casing but to no avail.

              to anyone who wish to change the cover, like luis said, i would also recommend u just bring your fone to the nearest nokia centre [ better be safe than sorry =) ]

              @vip blast

              i saw a gray cover being sold in some mobile shops. I asked if the khaki green is available but they said nokia never released it here. I really like the khaki one, but i wonder who has that color? whoever has the khaki one, lucky u. hehe

                Yes guys, The OTstudios Ntorch Pro is no longer needed for running Your led flash lights on phone. now u can Do it with out that!

                Follow these steps----->
                1:Do not twist the bottom part.
                2:Run camera application through menu-->Media-->Camera.
                3:Then set the flash to "always on".
                4:Take a picture with joystick and when the flash turns on, quickly twist the bottom part to camera position.
                5:The flash stays on.

                If you are not successful for the first time, keep trying.

                While your LED flash is on, U can use Video recording with it too!

                  To Faiz-- First of all , thanks a lot to ' aditya ' for posting in my favour....So , faiz , u want me to justify ? Hmmm....Firstly , regarding the release of 5710-- When i was reading the review of nokia 5310 in www.mobile-review.com , they had mentioned the specifications of 5710. So , after reading that , i got curious , and i searched a whole lot of websites , to get some info about 5710. And , based on that , i said that nokia 5710 would be announced/released in the first quarter of 2008. Thats it. But i never gauranteed u about the release. Right ? And secondly , regarding the price drop of 5700--Well , in december 2007 , the price of 5700 was 10,500 ( global access mobile showroom , bangalore ). So , when i was asking some info. about 5700 to dealers in many mobile showrooms , they said that , 5700 would be stopped within 2 months , and so the price would be further reduced by 500--1000 rupees. But , unfortunately , nokia did not reduce the price. Instead , the price was kept the same , and the handset was stopped by the end of december itself. And , all the remaining handsets of 5700 was replaced by 5610 and 5310.And u said that , the price was constant at 11,000 . Well , maybe it is at ur place. But , not in my place.The price of handset differs from place to place .Different showrooms quotes different prices. How can u say tht the price is constant throughout the country ? So , based on the enquiry with different mobile showroom dealers , i said that , the price would be dropped to approximately 9000 to 9500 rupees. Got it ? So , i hope i have justified. And , this forum is basically to help out each others. So , instead of wasting ur time and others time ( coz i had to type so much just to answer ur question , which was of absolutely no use to anyone)picking other user's comments and asking them to justify , do post some useful comments , tips and tricks to the users of 5700.Good luck..

                    Hey viperkid!

                    Sorry i just happened to respond today, I logged out of office at that time.

                    So it's confirmed, 8GB microSDHC works well with 5700. Great!

                    Now where did your cousin get that 8GB? I went back to CD-R King but they say it's not available yet. I went to their Galleria branch and they say they no longer have it.
                    And how much is it?

                          very very cool mobile. i got a black. gr8 na... its working- good, clarity- unbeaten, camera enough ma. no hanging problem, long live battery, design, options, pakka vedios everthing is lovely. but it is not possible to change its pannal, no protection cover and the gr8 drawback is its sound volume is very low, it is not rocking by its sound and its head set. head setz life is only 7 to 12 months. but else are good.

                              Ash:

                              nothin peculiar really.. though, as wat my xperience tells me n d fact dat its been a while since d last model was announced and i think its time for d next symbian powered youth oriented music centric device (probably we're lookin out for another XpressMusic twister, but i can be wrong [hope not]) to be announced which usually appears every year, plus d clues nokia hav been givin out lyk limited availability of 5700 in some regions and omitted product pages from europe.nokia.com/5700 gives me an impression dat nokia is indeed preparing d nextGen XpressMusic for us! yeah!

                              hope dat most of my checklist hereunder gets tick marked! nwey, re 8GB microSDHC on 5700, yah it's confirmed but i do need to get my cousins firmware version first juz to b concrete sure. w8 lang ha? il txt him.. BRB in a jiffy

                                      What do you mean, viperkid? If you say 5700's successor, does it mean are we expecting another Nokia 'twister' in the works?

                                      Oh man, oh man, I'm so impressed by this phone. Since June ko pa gamit to and it never failed me (well, at least once, but it was fixed). I use a 4GB microSDHC and it's almost full.

                                      And speaking of 'full', would this 5700 be compatible with larger capacity microSDHC's? Say, 8GB? Will firmware update help it? Mine's version 3.83 and I'm not sure what's the latest. Others here in this forum mentioned there's 4.21. But again, I'm not so sure.

                                      And even with the announcement of newer handsets in the recent GSMA, I'd say I'll stick with my 5700. At least up 'til Christmas this year.

                                      Hehehe!: )
