Kabayan! I stay at Pasay. Proud 5700 user. First time I heard sound from its speakers (when I was checking out the unit at a store), I was very amazed and couldn't hide it. When the saleslady saw my reaction, she may have realized she'd have 1 less unit to sell afterwards.

Thanks for replying mga katoto! (earlshady and 1sexybeast, also regards to viperkid and to the others)

Actually I'm from Cainta, Rizal. I'm using the 'Manila' part to connote that I'm a Filipino.

          Mabuhay!

            To meow and 1sexybeast:
In fact is possible to change the 5700 covers. But for that you´ll need some screw drivers or take your 5700 to a cell phone repair shop or Nokia care center. I´m telling you this because I have found on ebay some interesting colors like: red, black, green and blue (I think the last one is generic) and the sales package includes the tools needed for such replacement. I have never bought one of these items but I think they are reliable.
Greetings for all the 5700 owners

I totally agree with what VIP_blast said about 5700 sound - specially through speakers. Crystal clear & distinct. I am afraid NOKIA has not developed market for such a good phone. People are afraid about its twisting. But I haven't found any problem except that camera sometimes is a bit slow to response. A bit more RAM around 25 mb would have been better. Smartphones are bound to hang, occassionally restart more so if you load it with thirdparty applications/ games etc. Afterall PCs with Windows still hangs.

oh, and one more question: is it possible to change the colour covers? i mean that if i have a red one, can i change it into a grey one:D?

                        @ earlshady:
The sensor, is actually a motion sensor, present in only a few phones, like 5500, N95, N93i, N82 and so on...this enable use of apps like rotateMe, Nokmote, FlipSilent or ShutUp. Google these app if you don't know what they are. I have 5700 since August of last year, and everything is still perfect....any question, even about signing apps, don't hesitate to ask..I've learned everything about Symbian now, and I want to share my knowledge with you guys....cya...

                          @Faiz

Sanju predict like that because that is what the obvious market rule, whenever a new model comes older model rates go down.

But he did not mean that this will surly happen. It all depends on market and was just an obvious assumption.

Now days you may not found a single unit of 5700 in mostly shops also 5710 is not yet confermed by nokia officials, although they announce 4 new handset in recent past.

There is no idea whether 5700 continue to entertain with reduced rate or will stop now.

                            Addition to luis review,

Though quality of N73 images are definately better than thoose of 5700 but same does not hold true for video. CIF & QVGA resolutions are not differ enormously in size and both the phones are haveing same frame rate i.e. 15 F/sec.

For 5700 screen, its 16M color which make its screen looks crispy than N73.

One more thing is there in FP1, AutoKeypad Lock which was not there in N73(you can get this with 3rd party app though)

N73 has two processors for 220 Mhz, but still 5700 369Mhx processor performs better than that in almost situations.

I suggest that if its camera only than select N73, but if you want a fast product with few addon goodies & lacking night/indoor shot capability than its 5700 obviously.

You can also consider prices of both as n73 is coming at around 13K inr & 5700 in 11k Inr. You'll get 2gb card with N73ME & 512 with 5700 in India. So decide & enjoy.

One addition to the review of 5700 by Vip_blast.

Keypad of this phone feel like WOW. Most of the Keys are big enough & provides a great soft response on click. This is a very important factor for heavy SMS users and for Game users too.

N73 keypad is the biggest down factor for a phone with such a class. Every one who owns a N73 should agreee with this.

By the way, any Pinoys/Pinays in this forum? How I would love to meet you kabayans!

This Nokia 5700 has been doing a lot for me. Though I have an iPod, nothing really beats the mobile phone/music player combination this handset offers. I've had this since June 2007. I would say it's the best! So far...

                                        Oh please!

Stop those bashing, it's just kidstuff. Those arguments as to who's better is getting pointless.

It's always ok to criticize, give feedback, comment, cite thoughts. But deliberately arguing is a big no-no here in this forum and in this site.

Let's just help each other out. That's what this forum is meant for.

No more issues and so judgmental posts, ok?

And lastly, be factual and don't come up with fictitious stuff.
