well i advice u guys all to buy this very beautiful phone !!
i bought from 5 months and its amazing ! and its a smart phone !! sound clarity is really good eventhough the loudness not the best!
camera resolution is good !! i took on this phone 2000 photos and it still working like new!!
now i change with the new nokia 5610 express music wich is amazing
i miss my 5700 :( !! luv u all bye !

Hi there everybody!
My phone's firmware was updated to v.3.83.
Is there someone who can tell the improvements brought in by the update? I haven't noticed any difference in the last six months that I've been using it.
Anyway, it doesn't have to improve (in my case) since it really works great! Its' browser is fast, the music player is awesome, calls are good and loud.
I can't ask for more.

Thanks to you guys at Gsmarena for the wonderful review of the 5700, it prepared me for what i was buying and expecting to get. Though i need a little help,when i try installing some softwares, it tells me certificate has expired. So how do i fix this? Thanks ones again

ya i checked it nai but i can see the later firmware as3.27 not the very latest 3.83 something......can send teh correct link to get the latest update

sad to say but it's true.. it's damn true. only few stores are selling this unit and even official nokia dealers are no longer offering this unit. so if uv got plans of gettin this fone, better grab one as soonest possible time cuz you might have a hard time lookin for a brand new unit. u from the philippines as well?

i know that 5700 cnt be replaced by 5310 nor the sliding one (dont know the model hehe) bec the new xpress music fones are java, not symbian. but u know, that's what nokia is trying to do.. but in terms of features and reputation, not any of those new music fones can beat 5700.
ive already tried researching for that 5710 and in my opinion, it's not real. they just imitated the concept of 5300 transformers ed. funny

no i dont think the 5700 can be replaced with 5310 & 5610 they only got firmwares while the 5700 runs on symbian s60 3rd edition ... this one is one uniq phone on the xpress music series i dont think it will be replaced ... and the 5710 im not sure about it cuz when i saw the pics in the web sites about it i thought maybe they look just like the 5700 transformers edition !! ?? ... why would nokia release a 5700 transformer edition designed phone saying its a 5710 with only two three improved functions !! ?? ... that im not sure of ... maybe the 5710 is different than we think ...
so if those stories are true nokia will be releasing three same designed phones with few improvements in each the 5700 xpress music / the 5700 xpress music transformer edition / the 5710 xpress music edition ... and all with nothing but the same designs ...

No! It can't be! But I'm yet to buy this phone sometime in the first week of January. I hope it doesn't get phased out too soon. *disappointed*

i went to greenhills yesterday and most of the stores are not selling this any longer. if ur really interested with this fone, get one ryt away. i think nokia is replacing this with the new xpressmusic fones like 5310.. which is not a symbian fone. eww.. hehehe..

Number 57 has a great significance in me and that's why I am so damn planning to buy this fon but when I went to a Nokia store they can no longer give me the price because they told me that it will soon be replaced with a skinny/thinner version. Nokia is cancelling 5700. If there will be 5710 or whatever, I hope there will be Wi-fi and be sold more or less the same price with 5700. I hope Nokia engineers and marketing people can read this. hehehehe

yah maybe..when i asked this phone from a shop here in manila they told me its phased out..geee when i transfer to another shop next to them its still available worth 12000 pesos..hehehe gotta grab one.hehehe

this phone already supports video ringtones ... no need of third party applications to be installed u can just select a video and set to be ur ringtone or assign the ringtone to a contact ... however in gsmarena specifications they havent shown it ...

btw, does anybody know if there's an application that would add video ringtone for 5700? that's one of the features this fone is missing aside from wifi. please send us a link where to get it. thanks in advance.
