No, the phone doesn't have a 3.5mm jack. But the adaptor which is provided along with 5700 does have a 3.5mm jack in which you can insert your earphones.

hi irfan kk i bought this mobile and its superbbbbbbbbb and as all said the loudness in loud speaker is little bit lower than compared to 6233,5300 but we cant even compare the clarity to this phone and the have beat all the sony ericson mobile head set they have to beg nokia and there should be no doubts to buy this phone i bought this before one month but since of it's greatness i cant take my hands from my mobile here after i daily visit and answer any thing about this mobile......

To pixie27- there are many handsets on the market like nokia 3250 , 6131 , 5300xm , motorola rokr z6 , and many other handsets which are louder. But among all thd above handsets , 5700's sound output is very low in terms of volume. But with respect to clarity , 5700 overtakes all the above mentioned handsets.

in comparison to the other nokia xpress music fones like the 3250 how does it compare because i find the sound on mine brilliant and i havn't encountered a phone that could measure up to it

Please help with .jar.can't install .jar games on my 5700. Checked the settings of phone ,the certificate check is off & all applications are allowed to be installed.
What do u mean by a ".jar" game being signed by SYMBIAN??

To earlshady-- i ll accept the fact that 5300 creates more sound than 5700. And , u know what ? I have got 6131 and that creates more than 5300 or any other handset that i have seen. Its one of the loudest that i have ever heard. But , even though 5700 generates low volume . The quality is of top class. The sound clarity cannot be matched with 5300 or 6131 or any other handset xcept sony w550i. But via headset 5700 beats sony walkman range handsets also.

When the handset was released , it was 15,000 INR ( approximately 330-350 $ ) But within less than 3 months , its price has been reduced so much , so quickly. Currently , it costs 10,000 INR ( aproxmtly 230-250 $ ). And i think , for that price , handset is now really worth buying . What do the other users say ? Isnt 5700 worth buying now at quite a low price ?

To ghanshyam- The current ( as of november 22nd ) price of nokia 5700 costs 10,000 + 4% vat ( totally it costs 10,400/- ) in mumbai , chennai , new delhi , hyderabad , bangalore and all over the country.

- i think it cost for 11k-12k now..
@ 5300 or 5700?
- 5300 creates much louder sounds when using loudspeakers.. as of my experience.. or maybe because im still with the old firmware 3.27 of 5700 thats why the loudness is still not that good.. but majority or generalizing all the functionszzz GO FOR 5700 ^_^
