if u think u don't need all d benefits of symbian apps/games and stuff like irRemote, n-gage games, office docs readers, virtually almost unlimited phonebook and massive msg memory storage, REAL multi-tasking, 1 of d best built-in internet browser, great themes (which changes almost all element of d phones user interface), typically more flexible and advance options/customizations, emulators to play nes, GBA and d like classic console games, or in other words a more 'open' phone as S60's mantra - "Open to new features" is really not dat important to u and all u need is camera, phone, music and basic-intermediate productivity tools and not-so great games, utilities and stuff then S40 might b d right phone for u.
for me, S60 is better than S40

Please help with .jar.can't install .jar games on my 5700. Checked the settings of phone ,the certificate check is off & all applications are allowed to be installed.
What do u mean by a ".jar" game being signed by SYMBIAN??

Hey folks if u all really want to hear and feel bass during audio play back just go to gallery.mobile9.com and download LCG Jukebox. And just edit the eqalizer. Sony's mega bass is no match. You will hear the bass over the music from a distance. And through headset u feel like the bass is pounding your heart. So folks just go for Lcg !!!!!!!!

compare to all the model of xpressmusic, tis phone is the 1st model tat was function in symbian...i heard tat 5710 gonna release soon (i think is on next year)but dunt hav any advertisment show out, i juz saw it from magazine.

Guys , yesterday i went to mobile showroom to check out 5700. Well , regarding music playback , the sound clarity is good ( u cant find any difference in sound when compared to other handsets , since it contains a dedicated audio chip) . If u listen to songs , u cannot get very crisp and very chilling sound like w550i or w580i. Instead , the songs are just like any other handset. But . through headset , u ll get xcellent sound clarity. Infact , via headphones , the sound clarity is same as w550i or w580i walkman phones. But , through loudspeakers , the sound is normal like any other handset. Also , the volume is low. But , if u change the equaliser settings , the volume slightly increases. Overall , sound is good through loudspeakers and xcellend via headset. And regarding camera and video recorder , its really nice. It takes perfect pictures and videos. Absolutely no problem with that. And browsing menu and submenu is fast. Totally , its a good handset. But , since its price is less than w580i and features are more than w580i, its worth buying this handset.

i like the features of this cell phone though i can't decide whether to get this or the sony ericsson walkman phone. can anyone comment on which has better sound quality and features, this 5700 or the w660i? thanks!

i am rily confused about wat fone to buy,i read some of the comments on 5700 and still i cnt make up my mind, i hear its pretty xpensive 4 its functions ie u can get all d functions in it in a much cheaper fone so wats d hype all about????????????

Its tottaly Wrong that u say through handsfree there is no base.
Proper methode: U should put properly Handsfree speakers in ur ear holes than listen to tha song with huge base,also base can be setable through equilizer.

There is alot of people in my work place who leaves their bluetooth on and they don t want to share files with me. So please folks tell me where i can find a free bt hacking software that has no connection prompts and password to the other phone. I would adore such an application. I am waiting folks , please reply.

But why didn t gsmarena talked about bluetooth GPS. i downloaded google Maps and it allows me to use bt gps but there is no bt gps device in my area.

Based on what I've read from the w580 page in this site, its keys crack easily, although still usable. But if you were able to make the 5700's keys fall off, you'd do more damage to the w580, adding the fact that it's a slider (more moving parts, easier to break). 5700 wins in providing features like 3G, fast performance and more memory, but the w580 has greater battery life, good set of bundled earphones and slightly better cam. If you ask me, I'll choose the 5700 without any doubt.

if ur confused about the diferences between 5610 and 5700, note that 5610 dont have OS symbian s60, and have symbian s40, that is not compatible with almost softwares on the market, 5610 its not compatible with GPS bluetooth receiver, and if this phone have a music chip integrated, what is the speed? 5700 have 192mhz unlike the gsmarena site says, if ur 5700 allways reset or block, upgrade to firmware 3.80, my phone with this upgrade no more resets.. finally, if u want a phone to take good pics and videos, 5610 its the choice, its a cool multimedia phone, but its not the perfect choice, without Symbian S60, this phone its to much simple to me, and 5700 wins!!
by the way.. if u want to take cool pics, buy a 7 or 8mpx cybershoot cam, forget 3.2 or 5.0mpx phones, there's not the same.
