Latest version is 3.83.1. Thats what i have after the firmware upgrade. To Check for latest upgrade and upgrade your phone, you can either click on Software updater in your PC suite, or go to http://www.nokia-asia.com/A4416041
and follow the instructions.

w810 is a really nice phone i have used it but its sound quality can not be compared to the nokia 5700 cuz the 5700 xm sound quality is far more better than the sounds of w810 ...
and the twisting part of the 5700 wont give u any kind of a problem its rock solid ... but if ur wearing that much of tight jeans it should probably affect ur phone even if u buy the w810 maybe its screen will get damaged remember those are newer phones not older once older phones are equipped with greater strength in its casing while they are very low on quality & options but newer phones needs to be carefully used ... the 5700 xm even got a processor inside it ...
also i like to advice u that w810 is now out dated ... 5700 xm is a rising product by nokia and in s.e. almost in every phone they got the same looking firmwares ... and the 5700 xm got symbians so it got much more fun user friendly kool needed options than the w810 ...
go for the 5700 u will have a future or if u go for the w810 u will get stuck with this one forever in ur life (it happend to me once so i dont like anyone falling into this trouble once u buy a w810 u will jump up and dance saying yeppiii i got the greatest phone of all time but once u use a 5700 u will think damn i should have gone for the 5700 and after a few months of use u will get fed up with ur w810 ...)
if any of ur friends said that the w810 got more options than the 5700 xm thats a one big lie u will hear from him or her ... the w810 doesnt have a half of the amount of the options which is available in the 5700 xm ... 5700 runs on a newest symbian operating system (symbian s60 3rd edition) and the w810 runs on a same looking firmware which is available in most of the s.e. phones ... also u can increase ur options in 5700 by downloading and installing s60 3rd edition ready softwares ...
go for the 5700 thats my advice for u ...

Hi,
I am a big fan of nokia, I am thinking of buying this phone, but my friends are advicing me to take W810i, they say it has very good sound quality and other features.
Only thing I am afraid of is that I use tight jeans more, so whether the phone can sustain that pressure without breaking at the swivel section if i keep it in my pocket (since i heard that if it breaks at that section then it cannot be repaired(I am saving money to buy a phone of this kind from past 6months and if something happens like that i can't sustain the pain)
Any body please advice what to do?

I am planning to buy this phone. But I have few doubts.
1. Whether all Apps & Games which will run on S60v3 phones like n73, will run on this phone also?
2. Can I get the latest 3.8... firmware? ( I am from Chennai, India )
3. Can I use Music Player / Video Player without twisting the keypad?
Kindly clarify my doubts...

its a good phone i am having it for around 3 months
you can do many things with it. one thing you have to use it carefully. don't rotate the camera all the time. value for money.

I am using 5700 handset from 2 months.., this is really a very good handset,this voice quality and the volume of this handset is very good..,few days ago I waws facing some problem with this handset I was able to use some of the handsets feature than I took help from www.gizmosupport.com..now every thing is perfect and I dont have any complaint against this handset,\..
