Hello All,
Guys 5700 Xpress Music All bugs HAve Been Fixed In The Latest Firmware v3.83.1 .

Now Phone Doesn't restart, all gallery bugs fixed , sound become somewhat louder & Camera has been Improved. So don't Worry And Enjoy This Music Phone!

juz in case, 5710 XpressMusic do really exist, (i'm guessing here) the most realistic time i think would be March 2008. since N81 will be available really soon this year, there's a slim chance of 5710XM to be available this quarter, u know Nokia won't allow its current flagship Nseries music and gaming phone compete with a more affordable XpressMusic model with better camera and operating system, speculated to b Symbian 9.3 (if everything comes into reality). maybe i'll just hav to stick with my 3250 til d next 'monoblock-twist' Nseries or XpressMusic phone appears with at least 3Mpx AF and OS 9.3 (i prefer 9.5, but that will take longer, around 3Q 2008 perhaps) appears..

both r great music phones. if u just want a music phone, FM radio with RDS and an outdated ancient video recording @ only QCIF, EDGE support is not an issue, TrackID music recognition is important and of course the "Walkman" logo, u can get W850 (but beware stocks with production faults, CRACKS on its D-pad appears after a while) don't take my word for it, click below

scroll bottommost, then type the word "crack" under search opinions textbox..
and u'l see lots of complaints of W850's navigation D-pad easily having CRACKS in a short time..
on the other hand, if u prefer more than just a music phone with better screen, video recording @ QVGA resolution (perfect for YouTube), FM radio without RDS, more standard slots (microSD; miniUSB, built-in 2.5mm audio jack) for durability (for being LOOSE), EDGE is a must bcoz 3G is not available in ur network, PushToTalk, more phonebook and msg SMS/MMS/email memory, better browser, some office document work, superior applications and better 3D games, and yes "XpressMusic" logo, get urself a Nokia 5700.

if u hav no intentions of buying a better headset to use with 5700 and just rely on the supplied earphones, i think u should go get W850 bcoz walkman phones tend to have better inbox in-ear earphones than current XpressMusic line of Nokia except N91's (but again, beware of CRACKS). but if ur plannin to purchase branded earphones like Sennheiser, A4Tech, Creative and even Sony to use with 5700, ur best buy is 5700. now, d decision is urs, good luck =)

lol. anyway, W810i is so old....it's gonna be 2 years old by next year So if you buy it you're gonna be outdated but seriously it is a good phone. The sound quality is nice but it is not as loud as Nokia 5700. If you want Sony, go buy W880, W660 or W610, if you prefer candybar style. everyone understand?

i purchased this phone reccently n just craved for it due to its sound quality
its sound quality is tooo.... good n the speakers are provided at right places.
2 m.p. camera(with flash) is excellent but operating the camera is quite annoying.512 mb card is provided with it therefore enough memeory for storage
it has pre installed real player.
it also has some pre installed tracks n videos.
unlike some other nokia phones,data cable is provided with it.
this phone catches your attraction buy seening at once and while you operate it you just want to own it
if your budget is around RS.11K then this is perfect one for u

performance, goes to 5700 (its alot faster than 3250) due to its faster processor and relatively larger RAM and newer operating system called Symbian OS 9.2 (a.k.a. S60 3.1)
music in loudspeakers, 3250 is louder than 5700 but the latter have better quality
music in earphones, i couldn't sense any significant change in terms of quality and loudness (it really depends on what headset/earphone u r using with d phone). for example, i tested 3250 with A4Tech MK-620 earphones against SE W810 with an expensive full sized Sony headset (definitely more superior in sound quality than in-ear HPM-70 headphones that usually comes with walkman phones) and to my surprise, my 3250 still won in terms of clarity only but the bass and overall diapason was on d same level! HPM-70 in-ear earphones just produces very good bass but lacks alot of high frequencies (treble) quality. believe it or not =) u just need to know how to properly set audio settings and most importantly, use great quality headsets

When we used a third-party full-size stereo headset on both mobiles, it turned out that they sound pretty much the same with no noticeable differences in quality or bass frequencies. That was the case though before we turned on the Walkman MegaBass preset which really made the W900 shine. But after playing a little bit with the manual equalizer on the Nokia 5300 we managed to achieve the same results by gradually gaining up the low and high frequencies. So in the end, it turns out that Nokia 5300 is a pretty good match for a Sony Ericsson Walkman handset when used with a regular stereo headset."
summary:
sony ericsson walkman phones were perceived by many to be better than other music solutions in the market ONLY bcoz of the BETTER bundled inbox headsets provided (not a surprise since sony is providing d in-ear sets) and absolutely NOT bcoz non SE music phones are not as good as walkman phones in terms of sound quality, it just so happen that moto, nokia and others aren't really that experienced in making quality headsets like sony (to provide SE) hence, nokia teamed up with Philips to at least bundle better (nokia branded but may actually be Philips) earphones within its music range.

Open your nokia PC suite, click on Software updater icon. (If your Nokia PC suite does not have this icon, download the latest PC suite from nokia website.) This will guide you to download Nokia Software Updater to your PC. Install this and run it then follow the instructions carefully to guide you. You need broadband internet connection for this. Also see my previous posts on this issue

dear john,please try a w810i and then talk to me.for good music experience go for w810 instead of 5700.5700 can not stand in front of w810i for sound anyway.

Hwy guys why you are fighting here. Mobile-review says that samsungs sound is the best.
Neither nokia nor sony-ericsson. So go for samsung. Or if you want to experience new thing then buy se new walkman phones.

When i entered my product code in the website, it mentoned 3.27 as the version avaialble for update, which i already have..then where from you guys got 3.83.1????

Latest 3.83.1 is still not came on site..
There latest version in site andmy current version in cell is the same as 3.27 !
I still have all problems as restarting the phone and gallery issue and all which i have discussed below..

Im not sure of this... but i think their is a difference between nokia 5710 to nokia 5710 express music.. in 5710 the resolution is only 2mp but in 5710xm it has 3.2mm.. but this two phone has a GPS..
im sory if i mention a wrong phone in my first message... its 5710express music...not 5700 xm
