Guys,
The Organiser mentioned in my post bellow in not the same with Organiser in the main Menu that contain Calender, Notes, Calculator, Converter, and Clock. This is a different and new software or program not in my phone before the upgrade. It is separate from and does not replace the original organiser in main menu

I also have 5700. This rocks !!! It plays clips on 512x384 30 fps very well! i was shocked it really fast. Faster than n73. Display is awesome. So i have installed nes and gba emulators. Battery life is 2-3 days using normally. So im happy

Upgraded Version Differences
Guys, i've been waiting for this. There are differences. I noticed 4. All improvements over previous versions. There are likely to be more. We shall know as time goes on and more members of this forum report.
1. Shutter sound of camera is softer.
2. In Gallery, previously if you create a folder and you want to transfer pics or video into the folder you create, you can only transfer one at a time. I cried out about this in an earlier post when i first bought this phone. With the new firmware version, you can just mark all the pics you want to transfer into the folder and select organize, then select move to folder and ALL THE PICS marked will be transfered.
3. This may be my ear, but i find the music a little bit louder than previous.
4. The music quality is also improved. There is a gain in the bass and midrange sounds when playing music.
Am sure people will report more improvements as they upgrade. Am waiting to hear if any negative aspect.
One funny thing i noticed also. Don't know if this is perculiar to regions or its general. After upgrade, i saw a new software installed in the phone that i never installed myself. It came under Applications --> My Own. It is called Organizer and it is all about Islamic Prayer times, Islamic Calender, and a Compass with gps settings to direct you where to face when praying.

Can anyone tell me what's the exact difference between the firmware 3.27 and 3.83.1? Better if in technical terms. I updated my firmware just 3 days back but i really could not find any difference.

yes i totally agree with u adedoyin ... james 777 also make sure ur internet firwall (whatever ur using) aint blocking the updating process if u dont know anything about it contact ur isp thats the best u should do ...

not me ... it got restarted twice for the last three or four weeks but its the nature of a symbian phone ... two restarts wont be much of a problem for me ...
r u sure ur phone firmware is up to date ... some people have experienced restarting problems while they were using older firmwares but once they have updated the firmware it had gone away ...

The guy has already downloaded the software updater that he will be directed to on that website. I think he may be having problem with his ISP when using the updater. When i started the updater on my laptop it says laptop needed minimum of 512 RAM. Then i tried on my desktop which has 512 RAM. It then downloaded two extra things into my system which are required for it to work. When it now started to work work it had to stop midway cos of problem with my ISP bandwith and internet tafic load which slowed down my PC. To stop this situation, i had to use my new laptop with 512 RAM at home and at well after midnight when internet trafic is less. That was how i upgraded to version 03.83.1.

i recommend u to go to a nokia dealer and compare all the options in 6120 with the 5700 and decide for ur self which one to buy ... its the best way for u ... what matters the most is what u need the most ... for office people go for 6120 and for young people & music lovers go for the 5700 xpress music ... but thats not an advice though there are so many differences in those two phone models so try to find em by comparing em ...

i've had a d900i ... its an amazing phone i love samsungs its camera quality is way better than the 5700 xm ...
but in any other options and in music quality a d900i cant beat my 5700 xpress music so if u really want the camera quality go for the d900i
but becareful u may regret not buying the 5700 xpress music later on if u ever have the chance to use its options and enjoy its music quality ... choose what u want carefully so that in the future u will be a happy & satisfied with ur phone ...

i think he's mentioning about the option which the phone reads ur sms's for u ... go to ur inbox select a sms but dont open it select and get the options panel select listen then the phone will make u hear the text inside the sms messege without u opening it by reading it with somekind of a inbuilt text reading software ...

there's an feature in some nokia phones called text-to-speech where it reads out the text for you. Meaning just that. it will just read out the person you recieved the text from and the contents. it can handle common accronyms too like lol, will be read as laugh out loud. you can modify the voice by installing other languages or accent of speaking. ie. female voice, male voice, and accents like indian-english (just for example)

already installed nokia software updater in my PC and my phone connected with PC via USB but when i tried to open it, it said "can not find NOL sever" why ? can anybody tell me please how to update new firmware for 5700 ?

hey guys im about to buy this fone in 1 or 2 weeks and im confused wat to buy a nokia 6120 or 5700 and i kinda dont have enough pocket money to buy this fone but i do for 6120 do u guys think i shud wait and get more money and then buy this or buy a nokia 6120??? plz tell me
