hi guys, before i purchase this set, just need to know how's the batt life goes? is the batt alright? or they're not as good as estimated it to be ? can it last at least 3 days with medium usage like 35min of calls and 50 SMS a day? I hardly use a hp to browse or play games but only sometimes will listen to afew fave tracks when i'm taking a public transport. Thanks & cheers!

          Mazmaz:

i guess u used MP4 codec.. y don't u try 3gp H.263 OR H.264 with 320x240 video scale size then 15 frames per second and 336 bitrate for d video part and use AAC with sampling frequency of 32000, 1 channel with bitrate of 48kbps

          hope dat works

anybody trying to buy this phone,
i `ll prefer to give a look at N70ME,i own both of this 5700 & N70ME. And will be soon selling the 5700. And would move to sony ericsson W580.5700 is not as fast as everybody thinks it to be.

superb phone . Just 2 weeks since i bought it. And everybody envies me. JUST ONE SMALL HITCH . Unofficial specifications have said it is a 369 mhz processor . But system info progs show only a 192 mhz processor . Is it due to physical impact ? This speed is lesser than n 70 . Is is due to dedicated audio chip ? SOMEBODY LET ME KNOW PLEASE .

Is there a way to make the wallpapers I put on the phone fit the entire phone screen? If so, what resolution does it need to be? I've already tried many typical normal wallpaper resolutions, and they all seem to resize so as to leave space at the top and the bottom of the screen.

/sigh, well I've determined that the video bit rate is not what causes the hiccups in the playback. I've gone as low as 128 kbps for the video encoding and it still has hiccups when it's played in the phone. What is it that Nokia Video Manager manages to do that encodes videos without any hiccups?

I wish Nokia would release an update for video manager or something.

                                        @ Viperkid

YES! Finally, a program that encodes the entire video flawlessly. Thank you for posting it. The only possible flaw I see with it is that it doesn't compress the data as much as nokia video manager, so it takes up more space.

I'm having a little bit of trouble pinpointing the correct video bit rate so that when it's played on the phone, it plays smoothly, without buffering. Any idea up to what bit rate this phone can process for continuous playback?
