i recommend u not to buy the n72 its old skool now and it does not have 3g no 16m color display (only 256k) or a dedicated music chip for audio quality or dual stereo speakers but the 5700 got em all ... and the n72 does not contain a separate mp3 player with visualizations almost play all the files in the real player but the 5700 got both of em and audio visuals ... the n72 os is slower at its best than the 5700 xm and the 5700 xm is faster ... the n72 display size is 176 x 208 pixels but in the 5700 its 240 x 320 pixels, 2.2 inches which is far more better ... n72 slows down even when using 1gb but the 5700 supports upto 4gb memory ... the 5700 also supports windows media audio files ... and the 5700 runs on a 35 MB of user memory 64 MB SDRAM, 128 MB ROM ARM 11, 369 MHz CPU ... almost both phones comes with 2mp cameras ... so choose between the two models i recommend u the 5700 xpress music ... i only told u some of the differences between the two models i know both phones so i know a lot about n72 it sucks at its best these days in my country the dark year of the n72 model is here u can buy one here for about 32,000 rs and the 5700 xm worth 40,000 rs ... simply my advice for u is go for a 5700 xm ...

Well, the first program did not convert videos to MP4's, only MPEG-1's, so it didn't help me, and the resolutions were wrong as well.
The 2nd program only converter to 3GP, which resulted in very bad audio.
Alive MP4 converter did not work at all.
I am so frustrated, I have tried 4 different programs in order to convert full movies and put them on my cellphone, but I have still not found one.

Answer: The ones i have are freewares. TMPGEnc 2.5 Free version and Acala 3GP Movies Free version 2.4.9.

Surprisingly, i don't have such problems with these two programmes. Only annoying thing is the TMPGEnc being terribly slow but Acala is ok. I don't do much of converting musical videos so i may not have noticed the poor audio quality of the converted films. I have not tried the Alive MP4.

Go for 5700. Its the better phone. It has better symbian version and its a 3G phone. Has audio chip for enhanced music output with on board microprocessor.

Well, I tried that program, but the audio encoder was terrible for 3GP videos. I'm going to try Alive MP4 Converter and see if this will work.

i am thinking of getting a Nokia N72 or a Nokia 5700, i like the way both phones look but i don't know which phone to go for, i like one with a very loud speaker to play my music and all that but don't know which one is the best, anyway one with an answer should get back to me, i'll really appreciate it. thanks.

well im not using a 4gb or 8gb memory for my 5700 xm at the moment but i think someone using 4gb memory replied to this site before he said that his phone ain't giving any kind of trouble with that amount of memory ... but sometimes some applications ur installing may slow down ur phone so it is always good to keep the amount of installed applications to a certain level ... but as i know filling up mp3s and videos wont be much trouble ...

Try using Acala 3gp converter to convert your avi and mpeg video to 3gp then transfer to your phone. Video cd could be converted to mpeg first by Tsunami Mpeg encoder. This is what i do when converting large video files.

wanted to ask another question if you use the 4GB or 8GB(coz i just heard that it can also hold that much memory)doesnt the phone slow down or hang when being used coz of the many things in the phone..
coz i have noted with my phone,it slows down when more things are saved so i can only imagine after tha 1500 or so songs wunt i have a hard time using my phone

probably it gives trouble becuz ur dropping it always ... so u can take it to the dealer u brought it from and repair it ...
todays phones contain very sensitive stuff inside em ... for example this phone even got a processor and a 16 m color display and a twisting base ... so u should use it with care u cant always drop it like an old nokia 1110 ...

ok dont worry theres nothing wrong with the phone except u need to assign the album art to the mp3 in the correct way ... play the mp3 u want in the windows media player ... (i use version 11) go to the library ... select the song in the now playing section and right click on it and select advance tag editor ... a tag editor will be displayed ... fill in track info and and artist info and everything u need and to add the album art click on the pictures tab ... click add and select the album cover u want to see ... after it is added select picture type as " cover (front) " then click apply and ok ... transfer it to ur phone using data cable or bluetooth dongle ... and after u receive it save it on the phone and in the phone go to music player then select options select refresh music library ... now the song is in ur phone play it u will see the album art loaded after few second after u start playing the song ... i hope this helps ... good luck

5- this fon has - 35 MB of user memory
- 64 MB SDRAM, 128 MB ROM
- ARM 11, 369 MHz CPU.
as you know,those is are the really important part,as a brain,like pc,everyone need pc that faster to do the job,like human also,thinking and memorize the information and task.
