opps,sorry,my mistake..yes,this fone has 3.5mm jack.
hmmm,as i experienced,5700 louspeaker is not loud like n73me on those vol...and to makes it sound loud,you must set the vol to 8-10(maximum).this fone sounds great when in higher vol..I always use earphone,because the sound will be more great than the loudspeaker.but,remember,altought maximum vol and not as loud as N73me,the sound is more clear to audioable than N73me,that will has more noises..and like you said,this also depend on mp3 files you have.

maximum messages that can be stored in this fone is depends on its internal memory(about 38mb).but,you can also store massages on your microSd,but i don't know,how many messages that can be stored on microSD because the higher massage i stored is 800 messages,but i think it is unlimited depends how many MB it has.

About the radio,i rarely used it because i only listening to mp3,because not all my favourite songs is played in the time..but,i think it can save up to 20 stations.

The signal receptions is good,and the battery life is also depends on how you used it all the day.i charged my fone everynight before i sleep.

the PROS about this fone i found is:
*when mark several images or videos in gallery to a folder created(like album in gallery),only 1 of the marked item is moving to the folder.
*loudness in audio setting is not functioning and does't has it effect to louder the sounds.
*This fone needs updated firmware from nokia a.s.a.p.maybe because this probs,this price is cheap.I also wondering why its price is drop so much.but i think this is because some minor fault,not serious ok,in this firmware.

No, there is no newer software version than 3.27.

Now will someone tell me how I can encode videos that are longer than 36 mins without them freezing?

Or how I can conserve album art of my MP3s?

this cellphone is not friendly,i'm just wondering why..
but i think because it always hangs..

because i always accidentaly fell it down..

where will i let it be repair?

Guys , w550i has 2 stereo speakers....and 5700 also has 2 stereo speakers....so , has anyone compared the sound quality of the above 2 handsets ? Hows the sound quality ? Even at max. Volume , which handset's clarity is higher ? So , if anyone has compared the handset , do post in this forum...

and 5700 is far more better than 3250 (but still 3250 is a good phone in the market) but since ur buying a newer one u should go for a 5700 ... by the way i replyed last time i forgot to put my name on it ... lol

if ur doing that much of sms per day im really sure that u should go for a 5700 and if ur doing 2 - 3 hours per day on music then still u should go for the 5700 ... so in every way u should go for a 5700 buddy ... ;-)

im not sure about the 8gb memory but it supports upto 4gb thats for sure maybe it does support 8 gb too but i cant say for sure cuz i havent met anyone whose using 8gb still ... we will see ...

Hello. I just wanted everyones opinion on this.

I have used a nokia 3250 for over a year, and i loved it to bits. i recently broke it and am thinking about buying another 3250 to replace it.

I am also thinking about a nokia 5700 but around here where I live in the states, a nokia 3250 costs $200 USD and the 5700 costs $400 USD.

which should I buy? I use it primarily for text messaging, over 200 per day and I also use it for an mp3 player and listen to it for about 2 or 3 hours out of my day.

Which should i choose?

u cant send installed applications in ur phone to other phones ... after an application is installed in the phone its like a software which is installed in a pc ... but u can send the setup (ex- sis) files which u took to the phone to other phones and install those in em ...

Hey can somebody tell me where on the nokia site is it given that 5700 supports 4GB memory card. I am about to buy one and I wanna see for myself before I get the card. Thanks people.

I got my 5700 in less than a week yet and im so happy with. It's so fast! Sound and music is very good as well as the picture quality. The price is just enough for what you pay. I like it better than the N series particularly the n70 and n73 units. Its not so bulky and not so thin. The only problem i have is organizing the Gallery. I love taking pictures of myself and I usually group them thru folder but with this phone, I can not create a folder within a folder and once you placed it in a folder you can not transfer it anymore. Can anybody help me solve this problem?

Hi Friends, this is to Justin too.

Last week I bought Nokia N73 Music Edition with 2 GB card. This phone I bought after using Nokia N70.

When I got N73 ME in my hand, first thing I omplained to the dealer was the built quality. N70 had solid built, but N73 was like a toy.

When I pressed the keys the back cover on the camera optics shaked the hell out of the unit. So poor construction on USD 400 phone.
Shame on Nokia.

Then I read some reviews about Nokia 5700. High speed processor, 3G, New software etc etc, today I sold my Nokia N73 ME at loss of USD 40 and purchased Nokia 5700.

I made a right choice. Yes the sound is not deafining as Nokia N73 ME. Agreed, but apart from Camera ( which was not so mind blowing on N73 either )this phones wins 9 out of 10. i would rate Nokia N73 ME at 6 out of 10. It cost about USD 290 in Indonesia. But after a loss of USD 40 on N73 I still think I Saved USD 70. I am really happy for making this decission. Thanks to all friends who presented their thoughts about Nokia N73 and compared with Nokia 5700.

Now this is to you Justin, you asked howcome Nokia is selling at low price compared to Nokia N73 ME. The answer is as the time pass by technology gets smarter and price comes down. This can be due to various reasons like supply source ( China ), competition with other brands etc. Nokia has created an image of N series to be high end products and you pay high price to own a N Series product. Thats why, though Nokia N73 is already an old model, due to the image it carries and still people purchase this product not knowing a non N Series product like Nokia 5700 is far far better they pay to purchase this high price product. Nokia is not a fool to bring down price below Nokia 5700 to spoil the reputation N Series carry.

So got my point. Cheer up. Buy Nokia 5700 and be happy. Bye friends.

Thank you for your reply last time! But I'm still curious about this mobile & I want to buy it! However I have many questions to ask about this phone! Although you have this unit, and also your brother has N73me, you can compare it better! Coz I have N73me too! And when I'm listening to mp3 at night with its stereo speakers not on the headset, volume 3-4 is enough for me!and at daytime I used 5-6 volume! Meaning its so loud! And it only depends on the mp3 file you've downloaded if its clear or not! But in your experience with this mobile, does this phone loud as N73me in those volumes I've said??! Eventhough its already set on what Farthans' equalizer settings to make it loud??!! And how about the loudness on the headset,is it good too??! And what is the truth of?Because I've read on nokia-review that this is with 3.5mm jack, but you've said that it is 2.5!What is the truth?? And how many messages does it contains on the INBOX? And is its reception on fm radio, and communication signal is good too??!!! Please help me!!! & Please don't tell only the positives of this phone ok!!! Coz why is this mobile sell in low prices now, if this has a very good features with chips and all that???!!! Please reply soon!!!Tnx!!! Coz I want to buy this phone!!! PLEASE!!! oh,sorry,i haven't used it.i just find out when i go to official nokia 5700 website..they says it can support 4GB..now i'm using 2GB an it enought for me,and the perfomance is really fast and great.
the sound quality is different from N73,i has compare with my little brother N73Me,5700 has quality and clear than n73me,but the only different is the loudness of the sound.althought n73me is more louder than 5700 at higher vol,the sound it produce is not clearly and has a lot of noises..i just can tell you,5700 sound mb not so loud as N73me or 6233,but it is fully with high quality.and most importantly,it is faster than N73me n 6233..oh ya,btw,you must sett the equalizer to make 5700 sound more loud,if you use default equalizer,the sound will not so loud.you can follow the equalizer setting that posted by Farhan in this forum.
