Hi, Guys,
i bought dis phone 2 days back & found that phone is excellent, very fast as compared to N series phones. Sound is excellent, better than N73. Display is very good.
You can also install third party application, but only OS.3.1 upgraded softwares.
MRP of this phone in India is Rs. 11850/-
at dis price, it contains all feature, which we require in daily life.
Camera is also as far as 2MP is consered.
If u have any query please ask me.
Nokia has done great job with 5700

ARRRRRRRRGHHHHH
Nokia PC Suite is STILL pissing me off! Everytime I try to encode a movie with Nokia Video Manager, after 36 mins into the movie, the picture stops working and freezes, and only audio is available.
Also, with Nokia Music Manager, I am STILL unable to put album arts on my songs.
Any alternatives to the CRAPPY software that come with this phone?

how can you make this phone send applications to another phone through bluetooth, such as java games or .sis stuff? because every time i try to do that it sais "Unable to send protected object"

hey pple using this phone kindly let me know do u face ne audio prbs with it, can u guyz hear the person spking on the other end,,,, i wonder y m i facing this prbs with my fone with is jst 20 dayz old.. can sum1 suggest me sum thing. :-(

just got this phone the sound is loud and very clear through speakers, much better then ther n91 and i have yet to heare a phone with loudspeakers to sound like this

are u talking about in head fone sound? ciam asking about externel speakers are they have better sound than N73 or 6233? do thay have bass like 6233. i know it has audio chip so it produces good sound headfones. but here iam asking about external speakers.

By the way, is it really possible for 5700 to hold 8GB SDHC?
Other Nokia handsets can (like E90 and I forgot the other). Can 5700 be up to the task of storing up to 8GB? I heard that 8GB SDHC is now available here in the Philippines (unsure).

yes sorry for the mistake it does support 4 gb but the sales pakage wont come with a 4 gb .. but with a 512 mb / 1 gb

I would just like to correct your statement. Yeah, 5700 supports up to 4GB microSD but it doesn't come with one. Okay?
Typically the sales package would include either a 512MB or 1GB microSD (market dependent). It would be so generous of Nokia had they include a 4GB microSD.
4GB microSD's are to be purchased separately.
Now that makes sense.

5700 sound is great but sadly its not as good as the n73...I don't know about 6233

01 . nokia 5700 xm screen is 16 million color tft and the n 73 screen color is 256 k tft ... no second thought the 5700 got the better display ...
02 . nokia n 73 got a 3.15 mega pixel but the 5700 xm got a 2 mega pixel cam ... a lil bit of difference in the cam quality of these two phones ... i dont know what u will think at this point maybe u need better cam quality ... but the 5700 xm do good for a 2 mega pixel cam ...
03 . the 5700 got a dedicated music chip to reproduce ur sounds with more quality ... but the n 73 does not got such an option so sometimes when im using the full volume it gave me some sound breakups during the playing time ...
04 . 5700 xm supports real time web browsing supporting HTML web pages ...
hmmmmm well what are the other differences i dont know i cant remember any other stuff at the moment ... :-))

yep bro the nokia 5700 xm cam quality is better than the nokia 5300 xm cam quality cuz the 5300 got a 1.3 mega pixel cam and the 5700 got a 2 mega pixel cam ... and the 5300 display is 256k tft but the 5700 display is 16 million color tft ... imagine the difference of these phone displays ... and so far some web sites have mentioned that 5700 xm only supports 2 gb but the truth is it comes with a 4 gb mem card and it does support 4 gb memory ...

i think u can download antivirus software for symbian os n install it bcoz this smart phone is running on symbian os series 60..

may b my sound stupid, can 5700 use internet connection using modem? bcoz 5700 has USB right? so can i connect modem using that USB? thanks in advance!!!
