    oh farhan, what "trick" are you talking about regarding IMEI numbers? are you a numerologist? (laughing)
    it's not in the IMEI, it's in the phone itself, whether or not it will work good.

    what if my IMEI's last four digits are 7777? can you provide a reasonable interpretation with it? (7777 is just an example, that's why i said 'what if')

    please think, please be real, please don't play games here. it's a serious forum. come on.

      Hi I am Partha. I bought this phone on 2nd June and I am very happy using this. I made a lot of research about which phone to buy and narrowed down upon 5700, 6120 and N73. Finally decided this one because of its better music capabilities and bigger screen (than 6120/ 6120 has HSDPA but seems no use in India at least in coming 1-2 years)) and a2dp/avrcp support & stereo speakers (not avaialble in n73 normal edition/ not cared about wifi which the n73 has). The sound quality through external speakers is qualitative and sufficiently loud for quality listening. Twist in music mode and stereo separation can be felt if listened in quite environment. I have a 20gb ipod which I listen with Sennheiser in-earphones. The sound quality of this phone improved after using sennheiser (cx 300)with it. However, the supplied earphone is also not too bad and is one of the best accessories supplied by Nokia till date (as per mobile review.com). I am not much interested with camera but I am satisfied that both still and video can take satisfactory pictures. I have consumed 80% of phone's memory for softwares & games and each of them are running well. Externally I am using a 1gb card with half filled up and support is good with no slowdown of the phone. Phone is adequately fast just like series 40. This is my first nokia phone. Previously I used other brands including SE and I have found and agreed that NOKIA has better RF reception and latches on to weak signal very well without call drops which the other brands fail (including SE). Just install operamini and see the browsing speed - amazing I tell you. The video playback is very good - sharp pictures and smooth rendering. Install free divx player and feel the increase in sound and also enjoy divx coded clips. Voice commands not only can dial names but also activates some built in application. The twist though seems to be a fragile mechanism is actually very solidly built and clicks in place with a comfortable feel. However, what I feel is care should be taken not to drop the phone as it is under no case as solid as a bar form factor and may very well get to pieces once falls awkwardly. So be careful.

      Now the negatives: Occasionally it reboots - may be twice a week but thats not a problem and may be taken care of with upgrades. The camera response time is long almost 4 to 5 secs after the twist. Manual keylock is operated through the onoff key which is slightly inconvenient (though auto keylock is there and can be set in seconds). Most irritating is the phone doesnot charge when connected to a computer through datacable. Nokia should take care of this and sort out the problem with future upgrades.
      One typical ecperience I had was, after purchasing the phone - I was not able to access the lock code (The default lock code 12345 didnot work). I had to take it to nokia care (they said that the phone is imported by some importer and not distributed through nokia India – does not know what its impact is as I bought it from a famous retailer at Kolkata) and they reinstalled the software and now it is working.

      Finally, I am staisifed with the phone I bought for Rs.12500.

        which phone is much louder regarding the loud speaker??? Nokia N73 or Nokia 5700???

          thiz phone is really very nice. its camera clearity is g8 n the colour of this phone is very gud i really love this phone............
          according to me u should go for this phone its very cool .......bbyeeeeee

            u can choose both if u like it,but if u like messaging a lot,i recomended u to 5700.
            i also use n73 before and i also like messaging everytimes.n73 keypad is very hard to press and too small,u surely will makes typing eror..so it all up to you.

                Do you know from where i can get winrar for my nokia 5700? Mine firmware is v3.27, is there new firmware available. One more thing, i need sms guard for this phone. The one i downloaded expires within 2 days. Is there cracked version of private call and sms guard available? Let me know about it and latest firmware as early as possible.

                  I noticed today that some of the themes i previously installed in my phone are no longer visible under General in themes folder. In all, i should have about 27 themes but it only display 19. I wanted to apply a theme i had before but discovered that it is not in the list again. This means i can't use about 8 themes that i installed. Then, i went to App. Manager and also discovered that only 9 themes are shown. That means i can't delete up to about 18 installed themes. They are just sitting there occupying precious space.

                  Anyone have same situation or its just my phone?

                    This Trick Tells Us that WHether Ur Phone IS Good Or Not That Is WHy I have Given Wrong IMEI Number ;)
                    Have U guys Noticed That The IMEI Which I have Given Is Has Same 6 numbers Which Was Given By Some One BEfore Me I have Just Give My 7 & 8 number Of IMEI NAd Then I add Remanibg Numbers From My Self So I Mot Afraid

                      What have you done, people? IMEI numbers are not to be divulged. There's no point, there's no reasonable point as for you to give out that code to others, even in this forum.
                      Think of what you do and what grim possibilities it may incur.
                      But above all, Nokia is a company which is as firm and solid as a rock. I'm not saying this as though a die-hard Nokia fan would, but as a person who is cautious and is not biased.

                      p.s.
                      5700 works great. its music is really good music to the ears. i love it. i never had problems with it.

                        hi guys m from pakistan...theres some pro with the cam of my 5700...when i twist my mob to use cam...some times cam does not start...i have done every thing to fix this pro like format mob and restore factory settings still the pro is there....can u tell me, is it some kind of a hardware pro or it can b fixed if we reinstall its software from warrenty.... plz advise

                          Considering that both of you place camera function and video before music, i will suggest both of you buy N73 since it has good optics and autofocus. The music of this phone is also good but quality of sound from 5700 is better. Though n73 is a louder phone.

                            Giving away IMEI numbers is silly
                            and also nokia has a brand name to thin abt they wont f**k some customers with faulty chips and some with goood chips so this is absurd! someone just got all ur imei numbers and i dont know wat wat he can do with them so good luck to u guys!!!

                                    Go ahead and buy your phone dear. You have nothing to fear. What we discuss about chip applies to all phones and all manufacturers. If you have problem with phone you bought you can always take it back since most come with warranty.

                                      those who have the right equipment and software can use your phone's IMEI to manipulate, change, brick, duplicate, snoop or even SHUT DOWN ur mobile phone making your cellphone virtually useless! DO NOT RISK IT!
