hi i am confused between nokia 3250 and 5700 can any body tell me which is good nokia 3250 or 5700. and also tell me nokia 3250 has a good battery life or 5700 has a good battery life.plz reply me as early as possible.

hmm well how can this be? Nokia has a brand name to consider and a quality standard to uphold so i dont think that there are good and bad chips .. chips are chips i guess.. and also wateva chips are all are warranted by the company who is selling the phones equally .. like here in pakistan united , advance , MZ etc etc i think the problem with phones are crashing can be MAYBE software related or the fact that someone installed a BAD third part software of the net in any case i dont believe that chips in difernet areas will differ that much coz wateva plae thy are being made the quality standards nokia has to keeep upo with are the saem thats why a lot less number of chips are made in china as there standards arent that great but all the battery that dont require much are made in china ALL of them . soo i guess one should be vary before giving out there IMEI numbers on forums ..

dear fellows here, i think it was my duty to tell every one here about 5700 n other mobiles there problems, and iam sure many of the people here gained very useful informations about mobile sets, further i will thank to chaky for my confirmation,may be ia was wrong some where so iam sorry for tthat , if any one was hurted iam very sorry for that ,i found it very important that every person on this form should know the secret of mobile imeis and about the chips, as iam also the 5700 lover, so thanx

I think its not a case for where to import phone from. The problem with these multinational companies is that chips only could be made from a country or many countries and inported to another country or coutries where phones are assembled. Chips from middle east and finland could all be sent to China for assembly so all that come out of China would be mixtures. These things are done for convenience and to cut down labour costs.

Dear members in this forum, i think we should be grateful to ossamadurrani who started us on this topic of faulty chips. It has shown us that even Nokia, the giant phone company would rather choose cost reduction and profit instead of quality if they think they can get away with it. Customer's concern being secondary. ur right i was telling every one about there set by the same imei formula before u mentioned but every 1 was taking it as a joke thanx for confirmation,
now every one here a more guy saying the same thing what now haan????
still now many of the people dont know this thing about the game of imei ,
every one now should know it
one more thing that many people dont know is about the chip boards still
u can see that the set of bad quality should have the chip board other than that of good quality,
tell every one now what do u think ???

i thought all da symbian files r supposed to be in sis format.so frm where cn i get dis JAR files for S60,3rd Edition?steve?

ronok...youre probably trying to install a SIS file that supports a 2nd edition...the 5700 normally supports a JAR file so look for JAR files for symbian series 60, 3rd edition softwares

and i forgeted to say when i exit the net brownser it sais if i whant to view the intrerupted downloads but i dont have none

i have a problem with the phones internet brownser when i try to download something(picture video audio etc.) the download manager doesent show to confirm the download and whem i press the options i find the download manager minimized not showing the size of file or the ammount of data downloaded if i minimize the net brownser and i go in the meniu and go back in the internet brownser it downloaded the file and i can save delet or open but as i said before is not showing me the download in real time it sais 0% and when i go back sais complete. Please help me because i dont know what to do i have restarted first time when it happened and nothin still the same ive resetted to factory setting and nothin the same please help my yahoo id is cosmyndinunion and my mail is cosmyndinunion@yahoo.com please i need help please

I have used the 3250 before upgrading to 5700. The sound volume of 3250 is far louder than 5700 but the quality of sound is better with 5700. The 5700 supports bluetooth stereo headphones and has an audio chip to enhance music. It has adjustable equalizer settings also.
The choice is yours between quantity and quality, but i tell you a secret: I miss the loud sound of 3250.

hey,i just bought my 5700 today.its my first symbian phone.i tried to install smartmovie and a few other symbian softwares but phone says file type not supported.wot shud i do?

No vanadess, everyone's battery is made in china nowadays. I guess nokia is cutting down production costs.

Thanks for shedding more light on this topic. However you got one thing wrong by mistake. The code is *#06# not #60#*.
Another thing, if what you said is right, then asad phone chip should be made in finland and should be good quality cos the seventh and eighth digits are 1 and 0. How comes ossamadurrani says its bad and asad himself confirm bad functioning of the phone.
