I dont know why shayn always makes statements that degrades 5700, the phone is not out yet, i think you're just insecure that you're "phones" will be overshadowed by this one.. i suggest that you try first the phone before making an attacking statement.. let the people decide the phone they want, not you forbidding them to buy this one.. as for me, i think this phone will leave N91 crippled when it comes into performance..

well as for you, shayn, you are fabricating some fictitious numbers and statements. you said it straight but they're not factual. OS 9.5 is still in the works. nuff sed!

symbian 9.5 based devices wil only b available around 1Q of 2008. anyone who wants it have to wait at least 9 months more to hav all d benefits of 9.5 and besides OS 9.3 is still on d works which also hav added improvements vs 9.2 [OS 9.4, no official statements yet]! on d contrary, anyone who wants to hav a better performance and improvements now than today's nokia symbian powered devices [mostly, except N95 for example coz its 9.2 too] and considering d price of this 5700 [same as 3250's price before], 5700 is definitely a great buy for its price [3G, OS 9.2, QVGA vid recording support for H.264 format AVC, QVGA screen, dedicated audio chip [hope its not a marketing thingy..], album art support and visualization, camera flash, bluetooth stereo and better performance and stability [not in 3D rendering] than 9.1 devices can experience it now thru OS 9.2! improvements really takes some time, its a step by step process! everyone has its own choice, whether to buy OS 9.2 devices which is available now or wait for 9.3 or even wait longer for OS 9.5 based devices next year! =)

Again..you're getting it wrong again...SURELY phones will get better as time comes...as for u saying its a phone which nokia wants to make abit money?....all phones are made to make money....and maybe u're neglecting the fact that MAYBE ppl would like the design?...and maybe ppl likes the dedicated music keys?...its
swivel bottom?....and the fact that u're comparing it to other phones...which are in totally different leagues......WHEN IT ISN'T OUT...i mean....if u think of it this way....why do u even bother to buy Nokia phones?...

Nokia made the handset before Symbian 9.5 was released. So my point is this...
Nokia had added in 5700:
- 35 MB of user memory
- 64 MB SDRAM, 128 MB ROM
- ARM 11, 369 MHz CPU
- 16 Million Colour Screen
(Now battery usage will be low)
But now Nokia will release this handset but there wont be very much support for this only for 2 - 3months becuase after Symbian confimred Symbian 9.5 which improves...

* Reduce application start-up time by up to 75%
- Lower hardware cost
* High-performance smartphones to run on feature phone hardware
* 20-30% lower RAM usage achievable compared to symbian 9.1
- Support for New Hardware
Better sound chipsets, camera, camera tweaking capabilites.
SO therefore Nokia are working on 9.5 symbian enabled phone & this will save battery n use less ram n support more high quality hardware such as camera, sound, HDD etc leaving the 5700 crippled becuase this is just Nokia's 1 off production for making a bit of money...
Even the person who says he works at Nokia does not even know about this!

N91 has a 5 band equalizer [nokia said] here:
