Hey i have a 5700 and i think it has a pretty decent battery im thinkin of gettin the e66 but some reviews say that it has a weak battery, does anyone know if it will have equal battery as the 5700 if i dont use 3g? Thanks

ona, 09 Jul 2008this is very bad type of nokia (5700)because i exchange my ... moreyour prob happen to me once. i accidentally lay over my phone while sleeping and because of hot weather here in the philippines i sweat alot. do i woke up eith a wet phone.
my sweat goes inside the phone(particularly the hinge part). as a result when i put my phone in self portrait mode it will open the music player and in phone mode it will automatically goes on camera mode and it will disable the keaypad. since my phone is not from a nokia authorize dealer, i dont expect to have warranty so i resort on going to a cellphone technician. bad luck, they dont have parts(and i even doubt if they know how to open the phone at that time)
so my last option is to open my phone. luckily i have a video on how to open the phone.
so here is what i found out. the hinge part has 2 switch(normally off) let us name them left and right. when you twist your phone for camera left=ON right=OFF,for self portrait left=OFF right=ON, music player left=ON right=ON. what happen to my phone is that the left was shorted. now it is working good again.

this is very bad type of nokia (5700)because i exchange my phone three time before and now it still have doing his funtion as when you get the camera you will get the mp3 and ves versa,now my phone at warranty for the six time,
what i can do?

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I don't agree with your question's construction. Or perhaps you could have specifically asked, "In what aspects does the 5700 top the E51?", or "What features make 5700 better than E51?"
Because, if you analyze it, both phones have the same 2MP camera and capabilities and same Symbian platform and interface and both have 2.5mm audio port. They're both 3G.
But since you're asking, I can say 5700 is better than E51. Why? Becaue its' music features are more elaborate (is it not obvious? it's an xpressmusic phone), it has stereo speakers (E51 only has mono - but louder).
I'd also say E51 is better than 5700 because of its design (metal looks sexier and classier than plastic and rubber. and E51 is slim, 5700 is somehow bulky). E51 is better because it has advanced email and business-centric features. It has WLAN (5700 has none).
Overall, E51 is the better phone feature and function-wise. This phone is ideal for the serious professional, a businessman who is always on the go and receives emails on an hourly basis.
5700 is for the youthful.
The decision is up to you. I don't know what you would choose, but please, don't go after just the looks alone. Pick a phone because you're after the function, not to show off, as in the case of one friend of mine who has a Sony Ericsson P1 but doesn't know how to operate it.

the call bug was there in initial version of firmware. I.e. 3.27 but from later version this is fixed along with restart problem.

on my 5770 v3.27, i also have that problem(they cannot here me and phone restart by itself). after upgrade all fixed.

it is a malware. it will not damage the phone or corrupt anything, it will just do unsolicited international call to a sex line. the isexplayer as describe is an apps for steaming adult video. you can uninstall it actually. as one poster on a forum said:
"moral of the story, don't jack off on a 2.4" screen".

ok, so i have this fone here at edmonton alberta and there was a problem with the fone..the person whos callin cannot hear me and fone turns off by itself while using it, so I have to return it and the store where i got the fone doesn't know whats wrong..so it's all crap to me now, casue they gave me an access to another fone, they said that the 5700 is old, well pretty much yeah, but i was just wonderin if i was able to ask them to send it to nokia will they be able to fix it? coz i really really liked that fone, and now it seems like i bought a fone that i don't really like for almost 400 dollars! so that's all

Thanks a lot bro. Half work done. I have one problem with phoenix. If i uninstall everything related to nokia from my pc n connect mobile in data transfer mode, phoenix can't recognise my phone. If i reinstall pc quite n connect phone in pc suite mode, then phoenix recognises my phone.
My question is - Can pc suite cause any harm to my phone while updating firmware if it is not uninstalled? Because on every forum i've read that you need to uninstall everything related to nokia. I personally don't think but need expert advise.
