Got my 5800 beauty 3 days back and its awesome..... moreUpdating the firmware is very easy, there are two methods,
1) Enter *#0000# as if you were gonna dial it, it would take you to the device manager, then tap options and tap check for updates, it would then check for updates, if there updates are available, it would ask if you wanna download, if you tap yes, your updates would be downloaded, installed and your phone would restart.
Caution:
-Make sure you have an unlimited data plan, because the updates can be large at times.
-Don't interrupt the download of updates, though it won't cause any problems if you do, but it is a much safer option not to.
2) Install Nokia pcsuite on your system, connect your phone to the pc via the provided usb cable. Make sure you choose the pcsuite connection option. Then launch pcsuite and select "update phone software" and follow the instructions.

The Nokia 5800 is officially the best selling music player in the Uk. Not only did it kick the iphone's ass, it smashed the ipod to pieces. It beat the almighthy ipod in sales. How cool is that.

hi pples i had this fone few days ago i found lot of things in it 1. Extra ordinry play back vedio 2. Excellent sound both in hands free and open speakers 3. 3.2" wide excellent touch screen 4. Fabouls look . 5. Bettry life beats every symbian. 6. 8gb memory included and supporting 16 gb. Now i read lot of comments about it some ppl said its not good fone i realy surprise why the said this they are compring this fone with lot of others which do have a single quality like good touch screen, camera,or wifi etc but the dont consider its other qualities which most of other dont have . I will say its a excellent fone in the market sofar.

Hey, i'm looking for a new phone and am planning on getting this one...i love everything i see about it yet i'm worried because i type ALOT! and am scared the touch screen will break with all my smsing...what do you think?

unfortunately this phone deosnt support trickle charging thru USB.. but its definitely a great phone..
just got mine yesterday..

Lee, 21 Apr 2009This is one of the poorest touchscreen phones on the market... morelee, are you korean? the N96, no argument. the 5800, given the faulty first batch, quite arguable. but to include the e71 and say that a feature phone is better than a smartphone... either that or you work for samsung

Shane, 21 Apr 2009does any1 answer peoples enquires haha or just post there o... moreI have been to updater and version 11 is still my latest update huh..I am struggling to get app as well but it was the same when symbian went from second edition to third edtion it took 6 months for softwares to be updated..Have you got the new beta photo browser on ,,ive got opera mini 4.2 on 5800 and y-browser from dr yukka runs fine ..

Venkatesh, 21 Apr 2009Under the Downloads/Applications Menu, I am unable to downl... moreLast night i downloaded adobe and quick office but it took 5 minutes before it started to dowload,,it just stayed at 0% for 5 minutes..Cannot tell you why vids will not play all mine work??If you are not getting onto net because of your settings your service provider should give you them in a text to install,,i am in uk so cant help with indian settings..
