I use this phone 2 weeks, great phone.
1. For its price it is the best phone.
2. GPS is fast and good, I use Google Maps and Garmin XT for navigation.
3. Touch interface is intuitive and easy to work with
4. Even camera is much better then I thought. If you choose the correct settings the still photos are much better. 5. Video camera is very good: VGA 30fps at good quality - more then needed
6. SW is arriving - huge number of applications, including free dictionary on many languages from nokia
The 2 disadvantages are:
1. SW for GPS - no IGO, not good maps for Garmin (at least in Israel)
2. Camera (still) is not as good as in N95. But as I said the video camera is very good

kp 500 is much better than 5800 ..........
so low procc..of 5800 kp 500 is much better than 5800..........

It is really very nice phone, despite all the bad reviews that i saw before i get it, for me it was very stable, i'm using it heavily and using most of the features and applications on this phone, I really recommend this phone, and it is definitely the best phone in terms of value of money.
The only thing that I wanted more, and I know that with time it will be much easier to find, is the third party applications and game to install on the phone, I’m one of the people that like to install as many as I can of handy application and good games on my phone. So if any body knows a good site that I can find such applications and games, please share it so we call benefit of it.
Question to Satich: What is the Samsung phone that has a better features and lower price?

This phone is not value for money,bcs Samsung is giving better feature in less money so in touch nokia is far behind than samsung

I have bought this finally following months of waiting and intensive internet research. I bought it from the Nokia store in Regents Street (Central London) £249. All phones sold here are unlocked/sim free (can take any global sim card). I would advise all within or near the London area to buy from here. Those who live far away from London but in the UK, check the Nokia website for your nearest store. You can also buy it from the Nokia UK website. Either way you get a year warranty. You can buy blue (mine), black or red. The phone is good and the internet via WIFI is fast operating at 2.4GHZ (speed of a normal PC). It is very user friendly. Two negatives for me, the standard world reknown classic 2 beep message alert tone is missing so I need to download this from a mobile software website. Also the camara isn't brilliant at 3.2 MP. The iphone camara is much worse -just 2.0MP with no focus, flash, zoom etc. Also I never use camaras on phones as I have a 7MP digital camara. Not a lot of games are available yet but with time I'll put a lot on which will save me buying a console. Prior to this phone, I had a Nokia N96 which I gave to my brother. That was great Nokia phone but had a poor battery. I'm a Nokia fan for life and would recommend this. This is one of the cheapest touch screen phones and full value for money.

Im a nokia lover. its been around 7 yrs or so since i ve used any phone other than a nokia.Lately i ve been lookin for a touch screen phone n there s no other phone out there with features like these for a price like this.But man, was I disappointed with the image quality.I jus cant imagin spendin this amount for a phone with such a pathetic image quality.Even thou its a 3.2 MP, the quality s worse than a VGA cam.What went wrong Nokia?

My red 5800 , its so gr8, the sound quality and the stereo are perfect and very loud. Also the video quality is so damn gr8 ... Don't tell me that u will use the 3.2 cam 24 hrs so u won't need a better cam than this one , donno why ppl said that the cam is so bad :s ... The touch is so responsive but u have to click on the icon twice ... There is nice shorcut on the top right of the phone which include (music,gallary,video center,conctevety) ... My brother bought the w960i one month ago and when he saw my 5800, he shoked :D coz 5800 is on the top of all phones ... Also,it comes with many accessories which u have to check it out on the nokia site ( in the box of 5800 ) ... The size of the screen is so good 3.2 inch ... Wi-fi is so gr8 with the touch screen ;) What else ??! The conclusion that u have to buy this phone !!! Any questions ?! Cyaaa later

I bought this phone 9 hrs ago ... Beleive me it's an amazing phone , its so elegant , i have the red one ... Its so coOL ... But i wanna ask about the firmware !!! How can I know if my mobile has the latest software ???! Plz any1 reply to me and thx ;)

I read that you have to buy the batch released after February. If you are buying a brand new model in April like I did, you will be fine. Avoid buying it scecond hand if possible as you will not know what batch they are. If you want to buy an unlocked/sim free one - meaning one that will take any SIM card in the world, the Nokia website will provide this and will also give you a free 8GIG SD memory card too. I have had numerous phones brands but for me Nokia is the best. I previously owned a Nokia N96. Another awesome phone but with a poor battery. Nokia for life!!

Before i bought this phone, i thought it would be a really big mistake but now i have to say this is be far the BEST & most RELIABLE phone i have ever used...
previously i was using the N78 and N95-8gb and i must say both were spectacular but this is even better...
the only problem i see in this phone is its camera quality from a distance but otherwise its good enough
mine is made in Hungary and my honest opinion would be that buy this phone!
IF you are currently using an n95-8gb... then there are only 2 differences:
Touch screen
Very clear and infact better sound quality (BUT NOT AS LOUD AS N95 or N95-8Gb)
The rest such as the speed of the phone in running, downloading, synching, etc is fairly as good as ever
Touch screen isnt at all slow, its quite fast actually but not as quick as the i-phones
YES its better then the i-phone in a number of ways but not completely(I still dont understand whats so good about the i-phone, its just a simple phone with S class Ui?!?)
Oh and just 2 tips:
MAKE SURE THAT WHEN YOU ARE BUYING THE PHONE, ITS MADE IN HUNGARY
AND UPDATE THE FIRMWARE TO 20.0 ... something
