Well m about to buy th phone but i'v heard tht its touch senstivity aint good n the cell hangs so... can anyone who is using the phone tell me tht is true so i should not buy 5800

Indoor, the camera isn't great its because or due to poor light condition in the environment BUT it is GREAT if you use the night portrait mode (not the night mode only but night portrait) in the camera settings. At first i was also disappointed by the camera but i discovered that i'm wrong, just use the night portrait mode then there you go a great shot will be taken. If outdoor, it is always great even without using the night portrait mode.

Hamada, 06 Apr 2009Is the camera better than N70's camera or not ?believe me as I used both n70 and I have nokia 5800 . Nokia n70 has much better camera than this crappy plastic phone. Its camera is the most worthless feature. Extremely dark, noisy pics come out when u use it. Even if u play with the settings, its still not the quality of 3.2 carl zeiss which nokia lied to us about. DON'T BUY until nokia fixes the damn thing with more firmware.

i agree with u, i buy this phone past 3 month n now it screen had vertical line. the camera worst too.. its not worth to buy this phone, its good in specification but worst when u use it.. the worst camera ever i had, n73 got the best camera.. now i just keep in the box be coz i regret with the waranty that claim not cover the lcd or what ever it is, the big lost for me, now i better buy htc that great in flow function n smooth app navigation..

I have my phone reflashed on firmware! It was fixed now and phone loads great! This is one of the best touch phone I have had.

i am satisfied when i buy aphone like 5800 all my friends are saying gorgeous my phone and i am so flatterring when i recieve that kind of comment , i am very happy for what ive bought.

I don't have to switch my phone maybe in month and no problem at all, and I have lot of software in it almost full, pics, movies,music, software...!
Guys, a simple software like "BestTaskMan" you all should install in to your phone to be able to kick off service tasks run in background, because they made cause troubles if they are not in use by owner!

Does anyone know the hard reset code for the 5800 xpress? I tried the soft format code and it worked, but the hard format code tells me 12345 is wrong. Whats the best way to format the phone? hard format?

There is just one thing that i do not like about on the 5800 is searching the internet or O2 active,my N95 8gb was so quick an easy to do ,but with the 5800 express its that slow an annoying finding the right section,so Nokia as got some work to do to make it alot simplier an faster on there latest mobiles

hey, I work for a phone company one of the main reasons that the phone will freeze or do strange things like power itself off is because you are not powering off the phone!!(i find i just put this on silent the whole time!!) it sounds simple but this has a lot of software and new features on these new phones and you need to power the phone on and off (doesn't need a down time) about once a week to stop these problems...try it ya never know it may work!

I have had this phone for 3 weeks of everyday use as my business and personal phone. My use consists of about 20min/hr on voice calls, 5min/hr internet browsing, Nokia maps usage, heavy text and picture messaging, emails, picture taking and sending, some app usage, and very minor gaming.
---------Pros---------
-Easy to use after 2 days
-solid touch screen
-almost all screens and apps make use of the screen rotating
-perfect size for movies
-speakers are loud but too loud in my office so I have to set to lowest setting
-I have synced to my gmail, yahoo, work mail, and receive all with no problem
-Nokia Maps is up-to-date for the Houston, TX area
-Internet browsing is very fun and fast
-Pictures, while grainy at night are perfect in the day
-PCSuite software is fast to handle files and I have already uploaded hundreds of pics, wallpapers, themes, apps, etc to my phone.
-Picks up ATT's 3.5G connection never had a single dropped call
-Picks up WiFi seamlessly simple
-Screen lock is perfectly located and the phone can be used with one hand
-The dual flash can be turned on for shooting videos in low light
-TV-out quality, which I must say is superb for videos
-Using the stylus for handwriting and so much easier but can become a hassle if you have a lot to say.
-Multitasking is as simple as holding the main button down for 1 second and selecting your open apps and screens. Closing is as simple as holding down that app for 1 second and select close. I normally have at least 6 open at all times - Web, Log, fring, Menu, Home screen, email/txt.
-Slideshow home screen, select all the pics you want and have your home page slide through all of them, I have 85 images setup at intervals of 1 minute each. But I don't think you can use GIF images which sucks.
-I hate using apps as a reason to like a phone but JoikuSpot turns your 5800 into a WiFi hotspot for other phones and laptops, and fring allows you to use Yahoo, Google, MSN, AIM, Skype, etc all in 1 spot, both highly recommended. Fring is totally free, Joiku has a 2 day trial and several purchase options from 2 days to lifetime.
---------Cons---------
-As mentioned night pictures are grainy
-When taking a video it seems to start off zoomed out so you have to back up some.
-I never make use of the little quick launch button in the top right, its easy to go through the main screen.
-I clean the screen by using my thumb and rub across, in the long run I end up with residue on the edges on the screen which are not hard to clean but looks dirty.
-iPhone users become more smug when I am actually using my phone and they are simply holding it their phone wishing they had something more than an expensive accessory.
-Videocall can not be used because nobody else has a cool enough phone for the feature. :(
-The earpiece seems like a pit for dirt with no simple solution for cleaning out
-Battery usage, I have to recharge every night or it won't make it the next day. This is due heavy use, not sure how light use would pan out. After 10 hours I get the low battery note.
Sorry for such a long post but this a THE BEST phone I have ever used and Nokia has exceeded my expectations by far. Oh and you can hook this thing up to your HDTV and view movies, this phone owns all others I have ever own or seen in the US.

To all the expert users out there, does anyone know how I can get a very good anti-virus software for this phone?
Also, any ideas as to why Yahoo mail can't be setup on this phone, but Hotmail and Gmail do get setup? This is quite confusing and disappointing.
Prompt and good feedback is highly welcome.

I think this phone is the ultimate. There is a lot one can do with the phone apart from music, watching video/movies & the numerous games/applications that can be loaded & used on the phone.

hi every 1 there.i have a question??????????
my 5800 is good nd i love this phone..
and due to my crazyness 4 this phone i kepp on searching new apps for tis phone.nd as soon as i got news for new firmware release i updated that too....
now whn i lock my keypad and unlock it for several tines,once in 10 to 15 times the screen stopes resronding nd what it shoes is just horizental lines.
whn i ws not aving cell nd still read comments i found that this ws prob complained by mny users..
nd when i bought cell i ws happy that there is no such prob in my cell.....
but now whn i updated this firmware to v20.12 from v11
i found this prob..
is there any such prob in v20.12,or anyone facing th same prob pls hlp me.
how u came out of this prob,pls post ur openion nd experience......

Believe me as I bought this junk and regret it badly.
