This phone is a PROTOTYPE for Nokia N97. Nokia made this phone so cheap so that foolish buyers like me buy it thinking its so cheap and then get a piece a plastic junk. Horrible battery, Horrible touch screen, horrible software (No new software available yet) slow browsing, hit and miss pre-installed applications.

Dont buy this non-sense from Nokia and dont be a beta tester for Nokia by buying this jink.

Heck even the technicians at Nokia service center seemed to hate this phone as they are receiving too many complaints about it.

Dont believe me then just go and look how many used Nokia 5800 phones are being sold in your local market.

Lol, i'm amazed to see that this phone has reached #1 in most popular list for GSMArena. I've been using the phone since the release, and just bought my girlfriend the black NAM version for her AT&T and she loves it to death.

              Wonderful phone.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970ah.. I didnt say I am an Apple fanboy. Can you read, is your eyesight good? or you are one of those people with low level of intelligence?

I stand by what I said. People this Nokia 5800 is just a prototype. That explains the cheap price which Nokia put to bring more buyers in. But its a complete worthless phone. Buy it at your own risk...

Believe me this is one of the most worthless phone ever built by Nokia. I know becuase I used many phones for many years. I am a Nokia fan but man this phone sucks. I bought one and it has the most cheap plasticky feel. The camera sucks. now dont tell me to go and buy a camera to take pictures. when I am buying something, I am PAYING for all the features, and if the features like the camera is not working good then someone has not been doing a good job. Hell even a many years old Nokia N70 takes excellent pictures than this junk phone.

People are saying this phone is so cheap and full of features. Now I know why Nokia released it with so much less price, becuase its an incomplete, useless prototype phone Nokia using to test and make a better phone in the future like N97. We are the test subjects of Nokia when we buy this phone.

You have been warned, never ever buy this Junk. Completely useless phone. I just gave mine for repair after less than a week of use. I saw other people also returning this phone when I went to the service center.

                        AVOID!

Currently using this phone, and so far I have no real problems with it. The problem I have with it now is that it takes time to load (not all the time) if you are using the phone sideways.

Sound is good, which was why I bought this one. I'd also add that the screen is responsive. I've tried using fingers, the stylus and the provided "guitar pick". Not bad, being Nokia's first touch phone. I guess it helped that I refrained from comparing it to Apple's iPhone (which I don't own... that's why I refrained).

It was worth my money. I guess I'll put up more after I update my phone with the new firmware release.
