blackmod11, 07 Mar 2009hi there gene..., im acee..,may i know the audio quality... moreHi blackmod11,

according to many reviews that i read, 5800 has the best sound quality in all nokia products so far. speakers are great too.

now about my experience with the sound quality, i can say that it really is a great piece of music device which can compete with any major music player available, even with ipods.

Speakers are the best of its class. You'll definitely love it!

to put music onto 5800 can you jus copy and paste from folders on your computer or do you have to use something called PC suite?

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2009I've been using my iPhone every day since I got it 8 months... moreWell it depends on which side of the company you are taking. If you don't think Nokia doesn't deserve the praises I said about them, then get a life.

It is a matter of opinion and I happened to be the one who experience it, not you. You are using iPhone according to you, I won't argue with such fanboism.

I had my problems with my phone and has been very dissapointed, because i think it is natural to feel that way and when they called me 4 times to update me with my phone, then that is something i really appreciate. and what matters to me most is it was resolved by Nokia.

Feeling insecure about the service Nokia provides with their customers?

How long since you bought your 5800?

How many days have you been able to use the phone you paid for?

How many days were you without it?

Sorry, such sloppiness does not deserve the praise you give, any manufacturer is obligated to do the same under warranty.

I think that you should get this phone as you will have Nokia's support if ever you experience any problem. This phone is reasonably priced is packed with useful features. I am loving mine now! I want to hear from you again if you get one already!

But you need to have a wifi connection or a 3G connection to do this otherwise get a Nokia Updater Software from their website, connect your phone to your computer (yes xp is fine), and search for the latest firmware for your phone. Easy!

Get this phone now! You won't regret it! Love the music and the simple interface!

Before update to v20, GPS works so slow you can not use it for real, but now it is fine. Also the 3G camera is not accessible directly before update (the camera in front side), but now it is working easily.

Icons also change, keyboard font is shown in bold font so everyone can read it easier.

I guess you really benefit from updating, although it works most of its functions even before update.

To update, simply go to Nokia, get the most recent Nokia PC suite, plug the phone into USB and power, and let it update it for you. the update is something around 100 MB.

First my nokia 5800 got locked on upgrading the firmware. A swap phone was supplied by company in 20 days . This phone is unable to upgrade to newer firmware version. The music content are locked. Also, the phone does not plugs into system and does not gets connected to PC Suite. Other than that the phone headphone adaptar is mulfunctioning in a months time. Phone and adaptar are now at Nokia care for replacemnet.i.e. 2 times in 2 mts. time.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Well i think that you should take it to Nokia Care Center, they will be able to help you with your problem. Don't fix it by yourself it will only void the warranty that comes with. Nokia Care will take care of that.
